So the chat on Siege is that the BOD rewards have changed. Can anyone confirm this?
If so how and what?

News to me.

Its a few years old. I read the posts you saw and they are discussing the random chance for reward upgrades taht went in a few years ago. The results are more dramatic for tailor rewards as there are fewer of them, but they are there for smith rewards too. The long and short of it is that there is a small chance of an upgrade starting with gold hammer deeds for smith rewards and spined kit deeds for tailoring. The upgrade is typically one step, but can be more than one step. I have turned in a gold hammer deed and gotten a verite hammer.
I started a results thread on this site and there is a more extensive study on stratics.
Here is the link to my post:

Last I knew the Tower of Roses (http://www.towerofroses.de/) charts were still pretty darn accurate.
-
OK - Thanks
I was about to start getting some powder on Siege and was a bit worried.

Tower of Roses charts are still accurate, with the exception of instances where the reward is upgraded. This appears to trend to around 30% in my tests, but those are by no means exhaustive.
@Gim, the upgrades don't start until gold hammer rewards, so your powder efforts are not affected.

OK - Great

I was just talking with a friend and asking about the BOD system wondering if had changed. This is good to know and the Tower of Roses was always my favorite source of information. Nice to know it still is accurate.
Still it would be nice if they would redo the reward system. I can always wish upon a star :)

I don't want the rewards system improved, I want the way runics apply properties to items improved so that valorite hammers make more than one or two decent items. I am holding onto all of my high end hammers in the hope that this happens one day.
