I love my Incredible SOOOOO much.  Finally a phone that's nearly perfect.  It's funny to me the new iPhone is technically inferior to even the latest "average" Google phone.

Android (any version) > iPhone (any version)

I have an HTC Hero from Sprint (LOVE IT!)

I treat them all like iSkeet.  ***** PULL!!!! *********

My loathing of iPhone/iPod goes this far:  I pulled out my iPhone/iPod adapter that came with my new car for a normal AUX input.  Take that!!

Dont even get me started about the ipod/iphone adapters !!! Everyone needs to standardize and get rid of this mentality of a differnt plug and adapter for each new phone that comes out.  Use USB and Mini USB and that should be it should never need another adapter or charger cable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Massacre, that's what they do in Europe! They were smart about it though, they passed it as an environmental law since having to buy new chargers all the time means a lot of waste. Therefore, in Europe you can only use USB (norma, mini or micro). Although I'm not sure how the iPhone gets around this over there (unless the european iphone is different?).

You cannot say "iPhone/iPod/Apple" in the same sentence while saying "Compatible/Standard/Open/Expandable"  The world might explode if you do.  ;)

The only thing that would explode would be Steve Wozniak's pocket book from empting !!

Give me Microsoft over Apple anyday!  (I know, that's gonna be unpopular - but that's the depth of my Apple loathing...  hehe)

Completley agree with you TM.  I love my incredible and really almost feel bad for everyone that I know with an iPhone because they have no idea what they are missing in capabilities.  All of my friends that used to be iPhone fans (with the exception of one) are moving over to an Android phone.  I also find it pathetic that the new iPhone is supposed to be the top of the line in smart phones but it doesn't even shake a stick at the top of the line Android phones (EVO, Incredible and Droid X).

I'm debating whether to get the 4G iPhone or Droid Incredible... I always hear people bashing one or the other, but I figure it's mostly fanboy talk.

In your opinion, what makes one better than the other?

Depends on what you are looking for.  The Incredible has a better display(gorgeous actually), more expandable, faster processor, higher res camera, FM tuner

The Apple has 2 cameras, better battery life and whole bunch more apps.  But feature to feature, the Incredible eats the Apple core and all.

Thanks TM. I also posted on facebook to see what my friends thought. All but one so far say go Verizon... I'm now looking at Droid X instead of Incredible. Comes out the day after my birthday. I may take that as a sign that it's the phone I should get!

I like the Incredible over the Droid X simply because i don't care for the slide out keyboard but if that is what your after that will be the biggest difference between the two phones :)

I have to agree in saying that the Incredible is a far superior phone to the iphone.

Actually the Droid X doesn't have the slide out keyboard.

I think that I'll go with the Droid X, providing the monthly costs are as cheap or cheaper than the iPhone.

HTC has the Incredible on Verizon and the Evo (4G) on Sprint. Motorola has the Droid X on Verizon. AT&T has nothing to compare to any of those really (since the iPhone is far inferior and so much smaller).

Here's a fun one for ya!
#1. Go to wireless.att.com
#2. Click Shop -> Cell Phones & Devices
#3. In the filter box on the left side, check Android

Look at the first 4 results (at least on my page):
iPhone, iPhone, iPhone, iPhone
Could someone please explain how iPhone counts as Android??
It's amazing how far Apple has their finger up AT&T's butthole

Just wish they would get it out of there !!  Because I would like a similar phone but verizon does not get any service in my area and I am not going to own puke like the iphone !!
