Player Templates / Re: Sampire
« on: August 24, 2008, 10:55:47 AM »
Vampire Embrace is extremely effective as an Archer it's not just for tanks or mages. In Vampire form you'll life leech 20% your damage output. You lose 25% Fire Resist and become immune to level 4 poision and below. You cannot use any potions or spells that require garlic so your curing is going to be done through healing or chivalry. It is only 20% unlike the necromancy spell Curse Weapon which leeches 50% and lasts 3 seconds for every 10 points you have in Spirit Speak. This is one of the templates I favor despite not having SS it allows for maximum damage and still room for healing.

120 Sword
120 Bushido
120 Tactics
120 Anatomy
120 Healing
35 Necro
85 Chivalry

I was just kidding about you ruining it ;D George Lucas will see to that...

I'm not running out to Blockbuster to grab the DvD but I will buy it on Pay Per View when it comes out...save some gas  :P

Then I'll come back here and leave some feedback.

I do agree that George Lucas has lost his magic for making movies. I thought Starwars I-III were awful. I guess that's why I don't have high hopes for Indy IV.

What is it people are crafting with the heartwood saw that fetch top dollar? What items are people looking to craft once they get their hands on one?

TM,

You ruined the movie for me now!  :'(

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. :P

There was a funny feeling I had about this movie that made me not go see it in the movie theatres even though I'd been dieing for them to make another one for years and years now. First red flag was the plot and the name of the movie just didn't give me a good feeling. That and the fact they didn't bring back Sallah played by John Rhys-Davies. Then Sean Connery opted out.

Then when I saw the trailer release I was thinking to myself don't go your going to be disappointed. And now I click on TM's thread thrashing the movie.

I guess in the end they waited too long to make another one and I don't know why they had such problems comming to a script all the big players involved could agree upon. Raiders is till my favorite of the three and they are without a doubt some of the best damn movies EVER made!

Games & Game Systems / Re: SNES games
« on: August 17, 2008, 02:11:20 PM »
Just got back from Texas last week visiting for my Birthday. My sister gave me SNES with Streetfighter II Turbo. What a suprise that was...

I hadn't played that game in years and brought back some really good memories and total nostalgia.  She remembered how much I was into it. That was the only game I really played on the SNES.  I had a little ring rust though and I  wasn't able to pull off all the moves like I once was. Even after all this time it's still a really great game in my opinion.

It was very technical... being able to pull off 5-6 hit combo or even 7 hit combos required precision skill and timing. One mistake against someone who knew how to throw down combos and it was all over. I always played Ryu as his small dragon punch would trump any other chars special move. Now I just need to jump on the internet and see if I can't find the POWERSTICK joystick then I should be back to my old form in no time.

Any challengers? :P

1 transfer per week would be pretty good by me. I always browse finduo for items on other shards so to be able to shop on other shards here and there would be great. I've been in the market for Overseer sundered blade recipe for 6 months now and have not seen it on my shard. There was 2 on Baja for sale yesterday that I would have grabbed in a heartbeat if I didn't have to pay for xfer token.

Maybe they could make x-sharding virtue related when you become a Knight in say Spirituality you can xfer to another shard 3 times a week.

The duping I just don't understand why they can't fix it and create a database of item ID's and redflag if there are any duplicates. But I'm not giftd coder to understand the ins and outs and the time required to pull off such an eandeveor.

Allowing xsharding would also add alot of competition to the PVP playerbase. Now all the top PvP guilds on each shard would be able to face off which would make for an interesting experience I'm sure.

I was at Best Buy yesterday getting a remote for my Direct TV and decided to stop by the game section and do some browsing. No where was UO to be found on the shelves. Now I'm not sure what all is involved in keeping games stocked at various retail outlets but if EA can't keep the UO on the shelf then how the in world are you going to attract more of a playerbase. And if there not continously adding more content how are they going to keep existing players going.

I'd like to see more content added. I know fix the bugs first but there have always been bugs since it's release...

What I'd like to see and it's probably not feasible is a Moongate that you can you to jump into and take you to any shard of your choosing without penalties or having to pay for a damn transfer token. They don't have to merge all the shards per se but grant players access to all the shards. I'm not sure if this would be opening up Pandora's Box but this was one of the original concepts when they first introduced shards.

Right now I just want more content! More items, more land, more monsters, more quests, more craftables, more peerless or even demi God like Creatures. More, more, more!

Player vs. Monster / Re: Thrasher vs. Massima loot
« on: August 06, 2008, 12:51:44 PM »
You mean Miasma TM? LOL! I haven't fought Thrasher he's in the Blighted Grove right? Maybe I should go check that out now so I can comment on his loot...

I used to be in total awe of players going toe to toe with Miasma and I wondered how the hell they did it. When I first starting fighting Miasma I had to drink potions, buff all spells I had in my arsenal. Now with my current template I can just stand and use consecrate and he'll drop hella fast. It's all about template and gear no real magic behind it. Now the big challenge for me is solo'ing Peerless. Miasma is easy TM not much you need to do to make it feasible. What's your template so I can knit pick it!?

But back to the topic at hand Loot! I like Miasma for 2 reasons one he kicks out gold 2200 every drop and he often drops a level 6 chest which is always fun to mess around with. I have occasionally picked off some decent items and jewelry plus with Miasma everyonce in awhile I'll get  Marty pop in my back for my valor.

I'll go check out thrasher and see what he has to offer.

Finally that old enticement skill pays off! Very nice who would have thought!

I have Spellweaving as my last skill and I love it to complete my bard.

I'm curios as to how GateCrasher is progressing being that he is above 100 music and trying to finish off two other barding skills even while using C2's script if he is.

With your skills being where they're at your good to go with GGS. Shouldn't be too long you for.

From what I know and understand you want to finish off your music last or your screw'd. Get your music back down to 100 and raise up Provocation and Discordance to 120. Then do Music to 120. Music is the first skill that is checked when doing any barding activites. Not sure how good C2's disco trainer is but if your music is above 100 the other skills are going to be VERY HARD to raise.

My 5X Bard took me over 3 months of macroing every night and it was time well spent.  Discordance is probably the most powerful skill in the entire game. "Discordance turns Balrons into mongbats" is a qoute I remember once hearing and an apt one at that. Nothing like watching two Paragon Cu Sidhes go at it or Rend and Miasma.

A 4X120 Bard is hella fun to play. If you 120 the Magery it'll add a another weapon in the arsenal when never failing to EV. Very rewarding character! Good luck!

Treasure Hunting / Re: Nice jewelry from the Heartwood quests

I'd love to see what all pieces you have in that dusty collection. Getting the right high end jewelry to match the right template and gear is very hard.  When can I come over?

Not bad a bad profit for just comming back eh'?

The sale value seems to fluctuate from shard to shard but 15-20 seems to be the average one finduo. If someone offered me 10M I'd sell it and be done with it. It's not just about the money I've done pretty good through my peerless endeavors. Now I don't feel like I'm missing out on part of the action!

Having a heartwood on my vendor in Luna now makes me  feel like I'm amongst the elite entrepenuers in Luna!  ;D

Maybe I don't know how lucky I got and I'm not realizing how random it can be at times. Kinda like a person who goes to the racetrack their very first time and bets on the longshot to win and it does.

I'm gonna keep testin' my luck  :P

TM I thought you told us to breathe! I  got a heartwood kit yesterday.  Lean, Mean, and Green runic kit!. WEWP! Beginner lucks eh'?

I must have stolen someone's mojo!

I've probably burned through 600k in board and I've gotten 3 Yew 2 Ash and 3 Oak and the heartwood! The script is dyno-mite!

Only bad news is no one can sell a darn thing with all these dupes and bannings going on lately. Everyone is afraid to buy anything.

I'm going to keep at it. It's been alot of fun using Quester and it's added to the gaming experience for sure. Huzzah!

I think it depends what shard your on. There seems to be quite a variance from shard to shard.

One item that people often misprice is peerless ingredients. The taint and corruption have high value compared to the others which are not as prevelant in the popular ML recipes. Virtually all of the good ML recipes require either taint or corruption. I've paid 90k for 10 taint and I've also paid 900k for 10. Some people have no idea what to sell those two ingredients for...

Extremely impressive script! Thanks to everyone who spent time putting this 'baby' together! It's like the terminator...it just keeps going and going and going...

I lost connection last night so it didn't get to run more than about 2 hours but I've been running it quite a bit today and got all the big recipe bows (Mischief, Faeri Fire, Silvani, Blighted) hopefully everything will run smooth tonight and I'll get a runic kit of somekind if the RNG Gods is happy with me.

@Knight I had a similiar problem to you. One answer I found for myself is to verify 100%  your not in full screen. Make the changes then log out so the changes save and reload ultima.

The other thing is once it's starting going is don't touch the mouse. Leave everything alone and let the script do it thing I made this mistake when I first started the script.

I'm still not sure how the BMItemEval works. If someone can enlighten me I'd be much obliged.
