not a problem.  You will be able to set your #ltargetid variable to the #findid of the niter you found.   don't forget to set #ltargetkind #findkind also.  without the #ltargetkind it does not appear to work well.  not sure why but remember reading this somewhere in addition to trial/error.  if you have programming experience then you should breeze right thru this stuff.  for me this is sorta like learning french or german.  and i got a D in both of those in high school.

Scripting Chat / Re: ter mur lumberjacking

i didn't have any luck with the tiles either.  did quite a bit of newbified experimentation with it.  then i ended up reading some of the posts like endless night's.  this still left me unable to target via tile.  i was able to make MWrecall miner script work with ter mur by simply adding in a "click x y" command in place of the pre-existing tile targeting (#ltargettile #tiletype #ltargetz #tilez).  i also had to mark my runes in specific locations according to what tree i want to jack.   ie my runes are all one tile west of every tree i jack.  i have not tried it with 2 runebooks yet but assume it will work.  i added in Janus' Drag & Drop Sub for dropping off all the items at the house when i recall home.

someone mentioned the lengthy setup required.  not sure if that is the case with this one.  granted all that stuff i said above is a bunch of work.  but look at the payoff.  it seems after you set it up once then you are good to go.

this was my most recent nebified project.  but it also just occurred to me ... i think i could add in use of uoassist.  has anyone else messed with this option?

Once the niter deposit appears, it triggers a message in the journal. I'm thinking there is some way to monitor that message and if the message shows up, then the script looks for the deposit item types and mine it?
kubism,

I'm not sure how new you are at scripting.  i have only been doing it for about 3 months and i was able to add in my own, fairly unreliable, niter mining sub.  i added it in on spewy's recall miner.  it seemed to be the easiest for me to understand.  much of what is in there i do not yet understand.  i have a tougher time following along in my head with the always-changing %variables.

this one line will put the niter in the #find areas:

finditem WGH_VGH_RGH_QGH_BHH G_2

from there on out you can target accordingly.
i have had my variation of the miner script run all day.  i personally had a tougher time getting my script to leave my cheesy sub loop.

good luck fellow newbie scripter kubism

thank you much for the ID's.  i used the info to add my own sub in on a recall miner.  i had a general question reguarding mining saltpeter.  do other folks here notice much difference in timing with mining saltpeter vs. regular ore?  other than writing a short script to unlock paragon chests.  this was my second, semi-effective, script writing attempt.

Steelers fan here.  At the AFC championship, what in the world happened in the second half though?  Wow, they almost gave that one away.  I am going with Steelers by 7 at the end of the big game.

First off, welcome! Second, my beard is nicer than C2's! Third, did you play Chesapeake back in 99-01? Last, what part of PA are you from?

chesapeake in 99-01 ...... doubt it .... just checked chesapeake and i only have one character there, "Bad Mudda".  Trust me, his skills do not match his name.  My main shard is Atlantic.  I used to stray to other shards for extended downtime, back in the day.

Western PA.  sorta between kittaning and new bethlehem.  Why, UOMaddog,  are you from around here too?

looking to understand the dynamic here.  i can download the ScriptUO_v239.exe that TrailMyx has written and provided.  this is copywritten freeware.  i can use that program to write and de-bug uo scripts.  the scripting syntax and programming listed on EasyUO Wiki can be applied.  i would love to start very dummied down and basic.  maybe work up to some of my uo scripting goals.  i may start this right away and potentially post a basic one for confirmation that what i am doing is correct.  in which case this would not be the correct forum for.  Could anyone assist me if anything stated is out of line?

thank you MeWonUo.  even if i remain restricted, not a problem.  the folks here seem to be more of a family than any of the other UO BBS's.  Not sure how, but i may earn my keep some day.
