I haven't seen anything yet nor the better pay and upgrade screen. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

"Coming soon" could be years away from the speed the dev teams takes these days.

Woah, +1 on the new currency options.

-2 on the clothing piece...who cares?

Valley of Eodon (sp?) and Shadowguard??? Ok. I still haven't made a Gargoyle character or done anything with the High Seas expansion so I suppose I won't end up doing much with another new expansion either unless they include all the previous expansions like the house deco ones, etc. Then it would be worth it just to get caught up lol.

Anyway, cool to see continued development of the game.

I wish they would revamp the PowerScroll/Transcendence/Alacrity book interfaces to make them easier to quickly see what you have in the books. Very annoying interface!

Anyway, been having fun playing a little bit this weekend - actually, I've been playing a little obsessively all weekend lol. I need to connect with a decent spawn group on LS.

X

that's all good stuff.. a new expansion might cause me to jump in full board again instead of just dabbling with scripts like i am doing currently.

Here is my 2 cents of what is going to occur, the new player experience will be boosted and UO will be placed onto steam!

Killing off the old client and switching to the enhanced would be the only way this could work. They would lose a lot of "us" guys but gain new. The downside to  turning off old client would ofc be the fact that the game is wayyyy too grindy NOT to have it. Anyone else wanna 120 taming by hand? Didn't think so.

I for one would most likely quit UO if they go to EC client only....I have tried EC a few times and hate it.  I like CC because it sets us apart from all the other games and since we are the longest running game says a lot for CC. Once they stop CC and just have EC then we are just like any other game out there.....Lets just be and stay different :)  just my opinion and 2 cents worth

I am disappointed in the new expansion. Aside from the turtle spawn which will die out after most have the turtle eggs, and the shadowguard, it is empty and boring. It feels more like a booster than an expansion. I am glad that I did not have to pay for it.

Worst "Expansion" Ever as pointed as by Crisis there is only 2 things currently worth doing within the new expansion. My Friend has told me that the new bank vault is friendly for shard transfers (he does alot of buying and selling cross shard) but in terms of gameplay the new expansion doesn't offer alot. You know its bad when the add its location on the moongate under a exsiting Facet.

Unless they add something to the expansion its not worth upgrading your account to obtain the lack of features it brings. The HS booster offered a lot more as a booster than ToL does as a expansion. Honestly if you pay to play save your money and buy a beer and a burger instead might not last as long but will be more enjoyable

Shadowguard was a badly executed plan. Attempting to add "instance" to a non instance game is ridiculous. Skip the instanced based encounters and the game within a game puzzles. don't release instance based content in a game that was centered around social interaction. I feel like they could go back and fix bugs that have been around for YEARS. Like pets using teleport? Is that ever going to get fixed? Not only that but adding a greater dragon in a turtle skin was also a bad idea. What ever happened to variety? Different pets doing different things. So far there is no reason to replace a G dragon. Eodon is also largely unfinished!

The mastery system is brutal to people that play on dead servers. Soloing Scimi? Hey you have a male sampire, your screwed. Then the dragon turtle spawn? What are you supposed to do if you only play with a few people.

Grinding gear is still a thing in this game, killing bosses that take forever to kill in order to have a fraction of a percent chance for actual loot. Crafting was neglected again as well.

In all honesty I would have waited longer for another expansion if they would have put the brakes on in order to get a lot of other bugs and features fixed and finished in that order.

TL:DR

Obvious money grab is obvious.
