yes, like i've said, the story is old and washed up.
also, unobtanium was stolen from The Core

Hahahahahaha someone asked me if avatar was good. I told them it was a futuristic pocahontas with less singing.

I liked avatar but I guess to each his own. My kids can not watch anything that lasts for over 15 mins straight but they managed to watch Avatar from beginning to end without saying one word.

I tend to not try and over-analyze things too much. I try to accept things for their entertainment value. So if it's an entertaining movie, I'll watch it. If it knocks the ball out of the park for technical/video/audio/effects, well I'll probably like it more. There is NO more immersive and technically complex movie to date.
And there is no Leo in this one, so BONUS!

The two year old monster that lives here actually sat down for an hour to watch it! It was a miracle.

My son is the opposite, he'd find paint drying just as entertaining. He enjoys watching a lot of the films we watch, he was a little lost with Avatar as he could not keep up with the subtitles (7 years old) but we got it on DVD as I too enjoyed it enough to warrent buying it. I am the same if a film is technicaly advanced in effects then I'll be one of the first to queue up to watch it. I even went to see Toy Story because of the (then) advanced CG animation.
