Greetings all! UO is the only MMO that I've ever played,and I'm not quite sure when I started. It was well before Felucca, but I was out for a few years. I have vivid memories of my character running from gangs of orcs, improving his sword and archery skills at the Bone Knight Room, and trying to recall quickly enough to escape the reds along the server line Southwest of Yew. That may bring back the past for some of you.
I play on Atlantic, and always have. I have 14 characters, but only 8 of them are well developed: an archer, a sampire, a tamer, a necro/mystic/mage, a gargoyle thrower, and 3 mules,. At 73, I'm much too old for PvP, and I never liked it much anyway. I enjoy crafting but what really keeps me in the game is interacting with my guildmates in United We Fight, and acting as an emissary for that guild. Hunting monsters with my friends is my favorite activity of all.
I am a retired aviation Tech Rep married to a beautiful Malay lady for almost thirty years. I have three children and three grandchildren, none of whom are in jail, so I guess I did okay there. I live in Dunnellon, FL. For those of you who are not familiar with West Florida, Dunnellon is about half way between Ocala and the Gulf. And for those of you who are not familiar with Ocala, it's about two hours north of Tampa. Those of you not familiar with Tampa should consult Google Maps. :-)
I did a little programming in an obscure HP language about 25 years ago, so I'm not unfamiliar with the discipline, but I'm completely ignorant of the EasyUO and OpenUO languages. Since I've never gotten anything in OpenUO to run, I want to learn enough to be able to figure out what I'm doing wrong, and maybe to modify a bit.
