Title: Priorities
Post by: Cerveza on October 13, 2010, 05:30:04 AM
So what scripts are priorities? What types of basic scripts need to be made so that people like me, who have no idea how to write scripts, can begin to manipulate them into stuff we can use?

Basic Corpse Looter
- Finds a corpse, {skins it}, opens it, loots stuff, closes corpse

Basic Healer
- When HP is below user defined amount, finds bandages in pack, uses bandage, sets timer

Basic Pot Chugger
- When condition met (poison, stamina, hp) uses the appropriate potion and sets timer if needed

If we just start with basic stuff it'll be easier for people to dissect it and learn from it. Unfortunately we won't be able to run side-by-side with EUO to see how stuff works... but we still should be able to look at simple EUO scripts and compare them to simple OEUO scripts to see how things work.

Basic healer and looter for sure would be nice but i am interested in how to use the pixel color change.  if LS is no longer active reactivate; if health bar of pet changes color heal.  I use a wide variety of that application.  i honestly have never had a computer class in my life so my role is now glorified tester.  There is not enough time to relearn it all.

I was also looking at the halloween script with great excittement this year.

C2, From my understanding OEUO is actually the BOMB at pixel scanning. And you can also cycle through which Gumps are open on the screen, so you don't even have to have your LS in a certain position.

I'll see if I can find anything to post that will help out. Presently ALOT of features are BUSTED.

That will be bomb!  I will try to learn some of the working features as they become available.  Cerv are you up for tutorials as features become available?

I'll write tutorials as I understand the scripting.

So probably no tutorials from me.... :(

Super, it's like having a Progressive Turbo Charged Aluminum Block Engine in a sports car without wheels.

I'd much rather have an AMC Gremlin that got me to and from.

Presently 0.9t is busted.

OEUO cannot perform finditems, and basically is acting like your characters status bar is closed as far as variables go. Cheffe is working on it though.

Just wait to start any serious UI work.  That's going to be changing soon (hopefully).  It has to because the current implementation won't work for the masses.

Umm my implementation of the Buffbarscanner in OpenEUO.. uses both gump and pixel scanning.  Once i got my head around the differences i have to say OpenEUO is far superior in both those areas, and increadiblly fast.

Edit: But as TM said .. GUI  is an issue.

Yeah, I think that went up after this post... You'd think after MONTHS of being around, that would be one of the first things done.
