Hi everyone. I started in 1997 on Pacific and later moved to Sonoma. I took two long break from UO in there years and I came back two month ago. When I first started UO i used to hang out in Occle. And once I came back I found my home town was called New Haven. For the last 15 years I also played everquest and wow. I played qutie a lot when I was a student. 12 years out from college and now I have a busy job. And also I have 2 kids now so I only have like 2 hours to play UO or do something else in a good night.

I am not a professional programmer. I work in IT infrastructure field. I like to put labor work into scripts. I sometimes write my own scripts, but usually I hardly have the time to write the scripts in a publishable quality :D

The old account I had was lost. Fortunately I still remember the account my ex-girlfiend uses. This account had a half made tamer bard, a dexer and a legendary smith and tailor. I spent some time to complete the tamer and got a good greater dragon pet. And the dexer was turned into a sampire. Also trained the crafter with 120 imbuing. So I like the tamer best, it's especially fun when trying to tame a good dragon and going out hunting with a pet. However, the sampire is much more effecient and it's fun just to craft a suit for her. I crafted a all 70 and max luck suit for the tamer, and an ok suit for the sampire. When crafting the sampire suit, in order to max resist and keep max imbuable slots, I wrote a script to calcuate combination of crafted armor pieces and their after-imbue and after material enhance resist that will match all 70.

Anyways, when I came back UO I found it's a lot different than before. In the old days skill training was very hard. Poeple with 100 magery and 100 resist was god-like. And I remember how much effort it was taken to maintain a skill because your junk skill could go up easily and brought down your magery and resist. Nowadays everyone skill was made so easy. Also housing, it's reliable and secure now. I remember sometime ago we had to grab the key from bank, gate to house door, unlock the door, open, close, lock it quickly. I am on Sonoma now, one day I heard a guy came to the shard and said the shard's pretty dead. I can feel the population is a lot lower than before now. Especially I play in asia time zone. hardly see anybody in Luna during my play hours. I have been trying to see if I can find some poeple to play with but seems impossible. My tamer name Snowel and sampire name Supercat. Looks me up if anyone happen to play during my hour :)

The worst thing about depopulation is that there's no vendor ! Window shopping is one of my favorite activities in game. but there are like nobody selling anything interesting now on Sonoma. Half of the houses are empty, 2/3 of the vendors in the remaining houses are empty. Atlantic is good. I created a mule there just to browse the vendors. :)

I use classic clients when I am not hunting. The look and feel of classic client is way better than EC. without that old graphic, uo is not uo hehe. I am not sure why they couldn't just enhance the classic client to extend the features avaiable in EC.
