Thank you sir! That kind of skill and knowledge is way above my pay grade, I'll chip away at this or suffer. :)

Thanks all for support and ideas!

I did not mean to leave you in the lurch. Sometimes it can be a delicate situation to give too much help that isn't wanted vs. nudging along to the idea of how to do something oneself.

If you would like more help on how that is done - please ask.

I have not looked at this code recently, but in general TM's file system routines are pretty standard. Making a script to read (load) the variables in and loop to write these to a file is possible. That file could be backed up or copied off to another computer and run from there. That would reset all the registry information for this script's data. It would not be as elegant as a generic tool but it could work specifically for this script's data.

I glanced at the script and my own registry. Looks like I accidentally  :( reset my data last time I was using this. So I can see how such a backup/reload script is desirable.

Thank you also for replying to me! You're also a legend! I've got it going well enough, thank you!

At one point I had started to write a converter script that would take NGFS information and save it to a flat file to be transferred back to NGFS on another system.  I don't think I got very far however since that's when I stopped scripting religiously. :)

Thank you for replying to me! I feel honored, you're a legend!

awesome script! Thanks for those who have offered me advice thus far!

I cannot load my saves, running Windows 10. I read this script saves to registry. Is there a way to save to file and load from file since changing OS frequently comes with a new registry structure?

Also, if I pause for more than 5-7 mins it will never resume. Then I have to completely reconfigure since I can't save. :(

It's fast, something like 18k boards per hour!

Spewy's. Actually it works perfectly fine but took a LONG time to find minable locations. I used Cyberpope's radar and it could not find minable locations while other players were mining those spots. I replaced the MULs, no change. I replaced again, some improvement. Replaced again, works pretty good, but as noted, limited mining spots.

You're exactly correct. I had to install them 3 times just to get my miner working and it still wasn't working great. I read over and over about my symptoms with the various LJ scripts and it always came down to MUL files. Still, my miner is working (barely) and I didn't want to break it so I avoided tinkering with the MULs.

Thanks everyone! You all are so helpful!

Thanks again! Would anyone be willing to test on my shard or recommend one where it does work so I can test?

I've tried a bunch including AXE and J4bber's and none work for me for various reasons.

Someone suggested I try Ter Mur Area Elite, thank you! It seems to be working perfectly for me. I never tried it assuming it was specific for Ter Mur.

Thank you for the test and info! It must be shard-specific. I can't get ANY LJ script to run here and I did update my MUL files.

Thanks again!

This script doesn't seem to start, it hangs for me on line 1074 which happens to have a weird symbol in it. Anyone know what's up with this?

; Used internally
sub ReadItem
str pos %1 !sepcnt     <-- in this line between %1 and !sepcnt there is a weird square symbol, see attached
  if #STRRES <> 0

Good news!  Cerveza has decided to join up; huzzah!

That is great news! You've both been very helpful to me and taught me quite a bit about scripting. I really appreciate that you decided to continue on after uocoders (and wincoders before that?)

Couldn't find this place for a couple days when I discovered coders closed down (was a member there for about 9 months). Glad I found you Myx! Love the new digs!
