Introduction

Hello there.

I have played Ultima Online on/off since 1997. Recently I have come back again and I am enjoying it a lot.

I only play on official shards and have played on multiple ones over the years. I currently play on Europe and Atlantic.

I started out on Chesapeake back in 1997 where I actually ended up joining a PK guild quite early. However I wasn't that good at PvPing but I learned a lot during my time there. I remember I was very impressed by the collection of "House deeds" our guild had taken from strangers in the wild. Also the "Skull of X" collection of rivals. I wish you could still get items like that.

I think it was later on Chesapeake when they released the functionality for Tinker's to trap containers that I made it to the top of the bounty board by trapping chests. They were basically insta-kills back then and super dangerous. Also it allowed me to keep my Tinker PK in a safe house without any risk of being killed, hence making it easier to keep the high spot on the bounty board.

Later I moved over to Catskills where I ended up joining a Scandinavian guild that was also quite invested in PvPing. I remember to apply you had to make a new character and call it -DfV at the end. This was before there were character rename tokens, so it was quite an investment to even try to get accepted into the guild. However I made it in and that was a lot of fun. I remember our HQ was totally blocked by small houses to create a little enclosed courtyard. I guess back then there weren't the same housing rules as today!

Later on when the European shards opened I moved over to Drachenfels and later Europe. I remember playing in a guild called GD (Green Dragons) and we were hanging out near the East Brit Bank. That time was really fun actually :)

There's so many stories to tell from my journey in Ultima Online. One of my recent ones was in 2019 when me and a friend were at a Castle IDOC. It was full of items from the time I had missed in UO (2000-2018) so it was quite interesting to go through all the loot. I even managed to place my own Castle there and that's the one I still own :)

Look forward to learning more about scripting here. There's a lot of small annoying quality-of-life things I'd love to be able to make some scripts for if possible :)

Thank you,
