Hiya all,
Just thought i would start my count off with a hello.
I found this site after stalking a guy who uses the heartwood quest script without looking at his screen.
So far i have stolen all the fletching recipes, 1 Heartwood runic (this made my heart beat louder than a drum) 1 ash runic and 2 oak runics.
Something must have twigged with him though as the last 2 occassions he has called Guards on me and got me whacked  ;D
So now he is watching i thought maybe i should give the script a shot.
Ive been playing on and off for 8 years now, so i have done that and been there type of thing.
Well im clueless at the moment on how to write scripts but hopefully i will be able to learn and write my own.
Ok back to reading the site now and see what elses gives.
*Pats the guys and gals on the back who write these scripts and share them*

The scripts on this site all run with easy uo. Script UO is an alternative program that will hopefully and knowing TM eventually play all scripts in game as well and probably better than easy uo.

Aye thanks for the reply.
I just read about it and realised its just a development tool at mo.
I realy have to pull my finger out and learn how to script.
Im going to start with hopefully? an easy one.
I want a script that will automaticaly Honour a monster, like Miasma for example, infact i will just write it for miasma to keep it simple.
Is this an easyish one to start with?
Or should i just pull apart the easyuo script for honouring and see how it works and why?
So many questions lol

Well...
It is an easy one which you could continue to add to and make more advanced as you grow as a coder.  For now it would be a great one to play with.

Go to easy uo documentation and look at the event macros...  You will need to find infor for honoring like
event macro 49 1 (I think.. maybe that's honor)  etc.  Check out finditem command and attack macros.  #ltargetid and #ltargetkind will help you too.

Do that in combination with looking at an honor script and then you can understand what is going on at each step.

When you are ready ... write out the steps in normal language that you want to script then start writing and posting in scripting chat.  peeps will coach you and help a bit.

Welcome Baldrick. Congrats on your scores as a thief in heartwood. I've was just recently considering making a thief to test out success in Heartwood myself. I'm sure it's about being at the right place and the right time.

Anyhow you've now inspired me to finish my thief and go to heartwood ;D Fun Stuff!

Again Welcome to SUO!

Yep, with heartwood i always log my thief out there and log her in first to check whos about.
Often you see the blue beetle with the player invisible so try and have about 30 in detect hidden.
Use the token to get the ferret talisman that adds 10 to stealing when in ferret form.
Not sure if it can be scripted but the last 2 steals on this guy he has been watching, and after about a 5 second delay i get guard whacked once he realises and calls guards, is there a script that would instantly insure the newly stolen item?
I'm not fast enough to click body and scroll down to the insurance toggle then target the item, i  have lost an oak runic to this problem.
I was just gonna click the runic with insurance and i got whacked.
Never mind, selling the nice green heartwood one for 13 mill was plenty enough.

That's hilarious, now I know about why all those people have been bitching about their saw/kit drop rates.

In any event, welcome to our humble gathering.

This is very funny!!!

I love the thief and never thought of this.  One question?  Do you have to be in the persons guild to steal from them or is the Elven City open game to thieves?
