Title: Important tip for bugs
Post by: NObama on June 19, 2011, 08:10:37 PM
If it has six legs, you can eat it.  If it has more than six, no good.

Carry on.

i guess spiders can be bugs...they aren't insects tho, so is this an argument of semantics?

My combat survival instructors tell their students never to eat spiders.  Most of them will cause you more harm than good.  Or enough of them that you don't want to mess with the few that are ok, I guess.

Anything with six legs is an insect, and almost always safe to eat.

Anything with eight legs is (probably) an arachnid and not recommended.

Anything with more than that is definitely not a good idea.

I hear millipedes are delicious right up until you die.
