Questing / Re: ScriptUO Heartwood Quester v1.19
« on: June 08, 2010, 07:34:56 PM »
As soon as I get this thing tuned up and running it quits heh. TM or any of the creators of this program e-mail me I have a script that will recall through a book and kill sheep, lizardmen, cows, bulls, etc. It will loot them fully and bank at a box. It is not noobie friendly and I really don't intend to make it that way. Oh it can use chiv, charges, or magery.

wait... there is something newer than rc2? where do i get it that is all I can find is that rc2. I know that recenty RunUO suffered a severe dataloss so maybe the repositories are older backups?

yeah i checked it out yesterday when I was working on it. It is the ml merge I think that is causing it. I can get another server to run with everything spawned except peerlesses and most ml items are not working. The error needs me to type cast something I have to figure out how to do that :)

CS0308: Line 920: The non-generic method `ReadItem' cannot be used with type arguments

I can't seem to get rid of this problem. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to the ChampionSpawn.cs to fix this.

It started happening after an attempted merge to ML content, to add the proper loot to dreadhorn and quests and runic fletching kits etc. I am trying to use runuo 2.0 rc2 and I am wondering if there is another option?

u need to change %set resamount to 70 instead of 120, you are probably overweighting yourself. other than that it looks good. maybe you accidently messed up the section that involves getting stuff from the beetle. I would save my quest number and re-download the script and make the changes again just to be double sure I have done that stuff before on accident

I have found a fix i believe. I reverted to the 1.16 script and used the carpentry side for the modifications to the quest and put the vendor name inside of the money signs. This has worked so far for the trinket weavers north of the arborist and the tailor questers. Everytime I tried to modify the fletching side it would end in failure. So for anyone trying to run different quests with this work on the carpentry part of the script. everything else works without a hitch thx trailmyx for this script.

ah sorry. I am trying ot have it make tinker tools for the mother on necessity quest. I am using the two trinket weavers just north of the arborist. I am going to try using the mobs name in the vendor type to see if it can find it. I will let you know if that works

well i have got this script thing down decently but i cannot get it to find the tinker weavers so I can make it run the tinker quest for me for a while, i need to get recipes for pendant etc. I have modified the rail, artifact recipe name, resource and tool type, everything. It gets to the quest area and cannot find the vendor. I have tried to figure out how the find vendor sub works but the types are there for the vendors that are there.

I am wondering if anyone has the old sheep script that will kill the sheep in the pens and harvest the wool from them and bank it and come back etc etc. If not I will start to write my own... and fail and post it here to get help :)

Feedback / This place is awesome

I have found many scripts I had been missing from when I lost my computer and my collection of scripts. I cannot wait to get back into making them work on the server I play and posting a few of my own. Also I have used extensively used TM's rail and taming script both are awesome.

ScriptUO Questions and Answers / scripting commands
« on: December 31, 2008, 02:53:34 PM »
I was wondering if there was a command library around or something cause more often than not when I am scripting/modifying a script I have no clue how to select an item and move it and such. I can always copy and paste someone's code and modify it but that feels cheesy.

Ok I would like to know if it is possible to play UO on linux, and if not, at least able to host it. I haven't tried yet I just got my server today an old IBM X series with 2 PIII processors in it and.... 3 scsi drives. Got it working and would like to know a little more about what I can do with it :) Ubuntu loaded and running.
