Title: Guns
Post by: Tidus on January 20, 2009, 02:16:11 PM
Like it or not - The Second amendment to the US Constitution is the one that
GUARANTEES ALL the others.....

THE 2nd AMENDMENT

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense.
(waiting for attack)

The  sword is more important than the shield, and skill is  more important
than either.. The final weapon is the brain.. All else is supplemental.

Basic Rules:

1.  Don't pick a fight with an old man.  If he is too old to fight, he'll
just kill you.

2.   If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

3.   I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.

4.   When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

5.  A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers.  The
reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was  carrying and asked
him 'Why do you carry a 45?'  The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make
a 46'.

6.  The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a  lady commented on
his wearing his  sidearm..  'Sheriff, I see you have your  pistol. Are you
expecting  trouble?' 'No Ma'am.  If I were expecting trouble, I would have
brought my shotgun.'

7.   Beware the man who only has one gun.  HE  PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE
IT!!!

8.  Great Quote - Florida 's got it right.  Bravo for Sheriff Judd!!!

POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD

Some "dirtbag" in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine
traffic stop ended up "executing" the deputy who  stopped him. The deputy
was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at close range.
Another deputy was  wounded and a police dog killed.  A statewide manhunt
ensued.  The low-life was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun.

SWAT team officers fired and hit the guy 68 times.

Naturally, the media asked why they shot him 68 times. Polk County Sheriff
Grady Judd, told the Orlando Sentinel:  "That's all the bullets we had!"
(Talk about an all time classic great answer!!!)

But wait, there's  more!

I  was once asked by a lady visiting if I had a gun in our home.  I said I
did.  She said 'Well I certainly hope it isn't loaded!'  To which I said, of
course it is loaded, can't work without bullets!' She then asked, 'Are you
that afraid of someone evil coming into  your house?'  My reply was, 'No not
at all.  I am not afraid of the house catching fire either,  but I have fire
extinguishers around, and they are all loaded too.'  To which I'll add,
having a gun in the house that isn't loaded is  like having a car in the
garage without gas in the tank.

HAVE  A NICE DAY  But don't Monkey with Me.....

And Remember:

I'm a firm believer of the 2nd Amendment!
If  you are too, please forward.

yea? u know the piece of plastic that is issued by the dmv that keeps the police from arresting u for carrying a handgun :) altho completely stupid to need one but id rather take the time to go thru the course and get the permit than to go thru the court system and get probation or fines or jail time

Some states don't allow that, however.  You'll have to check your local laws regarding this.  I used to carry in New Mexico, but I can't here in California.

Heh, well I used to take carrying a gun quite seriously and frankly I felt a bit "nekkid" when I first lived here in California.

I hear if you say the word "Gun" in a public place in California you get arrested.  Might just be a rumor though.

Just joking...  Enjoyed the post Tidus.

Lol, yeh, but this is the one state that you can feel under-gunned when you are driving on the freeway!
