Title: Mage temp

Would this be a good template to run with in pvp?

magery 120
eval 120
med 100
incrib 100
poison 100
nijisu 90 (maybe 80)
tacts 90 (maybe 100)

the ninjisu is for wolf form when dismounted
the tacts is so i can use the mage weponds specials

Personally, i would never do a mage temp with no resist.

I'm not sure but i think you need real wep and tact skill for specs?

when you try to use it it says you only need tacts.

  I just logged on test and tried with a Staff o Magi 120 magery 100 tact.

"You need 70 weapon and tactics skill to perform that attack"
"You need 90 weapon and tactics skill to perform that attack"

Prolly for the best. Being mana vamped would suckith when you need a heal.

No Magic Resist is a bad idea for a Mage, IMO it's a bad idea period for pvp.  I suppose I'm just oldschool though, I have used, and continue to use, the same mage template since I started to PvP.

120 Magery
120 Meditation
120 Eval Intel
120 Magic Resist
120 Wrestling
100 Inscription

Sometimes I'll switch it up and go with 100 Poisoning vs 100 Inscription, but it depends on the situation.  (will I be dropping mad poison fields?  Yes... go with Poisoning, No?  Bonus SD wins.)  If I'm dueling, I always go with poisoning.

If you go ninjitsu drop poisoning increase ninja and go shurikens

I've had this template planned out for years but never got around to putting it in action. I planned it on my old account which was 720 points with faction gear.

100 hide
70 stealth + items (+10 stealth robe +20 stealth cloak)
120 mage
120 eval
120 ninja
120 resist (could use aegis of grace for +10 resist and 20dci)
70 med

use a -mage wep and deathstrike the s***t outta people. There's your stars/animal form/stealth ability on a nice casting template i guarantee you'll have fun on.

I've fought a few of those in my days, but lack of hci normally makes the ds take too long to get off on a mage.
