Seems to be following the original story just updated to todays times.  And it seems to give a good background to Freddy in the beginning too.  Definetly gonna see this as elm St has been my fav since the beginning.

Michael Bay is the Producer, so its gonna have good effects at very least.  and I doubt Bay would work with Rob Zombie.

I loved these movies too. I just enjoyed the zombie movies more! By zombie I mean Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, etc...

When I saw this as a kid, a TON of kids skipped school to go see it, and there was only the back row of seats open when we got there... we all sat down and I had my feet on the row of seats in front of us... and when Freddy jumped up from beside the bed, I pushed cause it scared me... and the whole back row of seats wasn't bolted down.  WHAM.  Everyone was on their backs laughing. haha
