Welcome Jori!

I'm with you on the "how did I do this before?!" phenomena. What's the fun in moving boards from crate to crate or tediously clicking through a pack of unorganized BODs and BOD items to fill them?!

Questing / Re: ScriptUO Heartwood Quester 1.21 with Advanced CLAw support

I fixed my previous problem, Some reason me being right next to my secure container at my house it was some how messing it up for me it wouldn't gate back to heartwood i remarked it 1 step from the secure so it was still reachable and the script went smoothly I have one suggestion though...

TM: If you could rail this script down to Ciala The Arborist.

There is a bug where if you get:

The quest down in heart wood:
Glassy Foe - Ryal
Dust to Dust -  Aniel
Circle of Life - Mielani

The people are listed beside the quest name: But If you receive these three quests then go to Ciala you will get the Arch Support quest every time, which would make this run much faster and there would be no scrolling through the quest. It would be done in 5 min instead of around 10 or so. Just my suggestion thats how my previous heartwood script works.

This works great, assuming you modify the SUOquester to accommodate the hw_trinket2 rail and modify vendor to only target Ciala. I'm getting saws at hyperspeed now!

Also on my fletcher, its not as pristine a scenario but you can cut the amount of available quests for the bowcrafter by accepting the quest stop harping on me (and not completing) from either:

Sleen the Trinket Weaver
Unoelil the Bark Weaver
Waelian the Trinket Weaver
or Anolly the Bark Weaver

Then accept one of the other quests from Jusae of Cillitha and hardwire the quester to go to the other.

This narrows the amount of possible fletching quests from 6 to 4.

Resource Farming / Re: Lugz Barb Leather Getter

Just tried firing this up for the first time. I've got some tailor BODs that are fiending some green leather.

Initially I had an issue where I kept honoring myself, and writhing about. I saw that one of the enemy types is XU, which I found matched myself! What the!?... Maybe this was an ID that had changed. So I deleted that out, modified it to drop leather at my porch rather than the bank and so far I haven't been able to let go of the steering wheel and let it just run on its own. I fear I'll come back to a grey screen. *sigh*

Think the first step will be to craft up a 100% fire ele damage drag slayer with those amazing leech stats we know and love for sampires.

Should still work for the time being....

Beetle pack is still messed up, so you'll have to read below to see the fix past that problem.

Well I've tried to run it a few times, and it seems that the quest menu just keeps circling through and not accepting any and I'm not finding a way to choose which quests to accept and fill. I'll read through this thread and see if I see any similar symptoms. Don't mean to repeat any questions and drive ya nuts. even though there are nuts in trailmyx. lol

Its funny, because I'd been scripting for about a year. And as sooon as I found this site a couple of days ago, we had the big EUO update scare. There is some good stuff here tho!

Rember in LUa syntax is everything .. its kinda unforgiving

Was capitalization such a huge deal for EUO scripts? Just curious

Yeaa I've been reading a lot on lua myself. As a chemistry major its overwhelming, and I'm having a hard time justifying it in light of all my work, but from what I've seen and correct me if I'm wrong, cause I'm brand spankin new to scripting, but it appears that it will be easier to make a script that access other lua files with their existing variables. Everything looks so long tho! Its really a cluster!

Hopin someday I wont be considered a "leecher"  :'(

There are a lot of players out there like me, that have not gotten the swing of writing scripts themselves, but go out of their way to help give feedback on scripts in the making.
I mean if you started to build yourself a new house, and laid the foundation.  Would you go a sell the house your living in at the moment.  I would guess no, because you and your family would find themselves out in the cold.  Basically he's gone and sold our house and now we are all out in the cold until the new one is finish.

And I wish this new house wasn't like building with legos. Lua is driving me up the wall!!

Geeeeezzz! how many did you tame? I've heard its 1/30,000+ shot at a blaze. And my brother and I tend to calculate out uo like a job. We figured it would take all day for like a month with those odds, provided one is just having ghastly luck. and for 400$-500$ it just seems like pennies on the hour. But isn't that what uo's all about pennies on the hour/dollar? lol

Just curious how long ya spent taming, if its a secret, I understand.  ;D

Easyuo was the start of my dissent against the game rules.  ::) I personally think filling quest after mindless quest is cruel and unusual. But they are kinda strict over there about what they consider "gold farming". I'm new over here too, and have been lovin the new PVE parts of the game. The item based quality of UO has its perks and drawbacks, particularly I have absolute crapppp when it comes to a bow that will be helpful against some of the Stygian peerless, and no runic fletching kits with a gm fletcher. You could say I'm up a creek without a paddle!

Hey, its nirvanaguy,

I have been playin uo for about 6 years, but have been scripting about 2. and Boy was Uo poopy before. Its amazing how automating crap tasks really contributes to a great playing experience. EA should rethink their policies! Who agrees?

Tho I realize this is a market based game. And just letting computers play is unfair. But we all have the same tools at our fingertips!

Oh and I'm kinda cautious when it comes to the details of my characters and whatnot, I would post but I'm a conspiracy theorist when it comes to gms and scripters. It just feels funny that hinds kill me everyonce in awhile, ya know!?

But I've mainly found the scripts are useful when it comes to crafting. Im hoping on a star to someday be able to get the heartwood quest. But until then, I guess I'll just kick around the forums.

I've never been good at writing scripts, and I'm always extremely impressed to see the kinda stuff people put out. I will personally stick to Chemistry and all it has to offer me in my professional life. Which contributes to the lack of time to learn code writing. Life is all about focus and time spent. And I often say that the maker of UO, Richard Garriot, the 6th civilian in space who's also been to antarctica has stolen others' ambitions. lol  Hence my rationalization for scripting; I'm all for protecting my ambitions. which happens to be Biochemistry. The body is an amazing tool, adaptive in many ways. And the elimination of health risks is my passion! So stay safe and away from those free radicals that enter your body, they steal electrons! Antioxidants are the key to a healthy circulatory system and a cancer-free life.  :D
