CityKitty, are you using a small boat?   I still use this script all the time and really never have a problem with it.  I'm playing on a freeshard and recently started on another successfully.

Also, the latest version 30k already has the modifications for the "new" style MIBs, so you don't have to make that change.  So assuming you're using the small boat and IT IS POINTING NORTH, then is should work for you.

Yes, small boat facing north. this being Hallowe'en, how about something scary? You know that issue with recalling back to the boat? Well, it makes the spell and it fails at targeting so out of the blue, I got this idea. What if the key is the problem? I swapped  the light gold key in my pack that was failing every time for the darker copper one in the bank and voila! It works just fine. So, There's another puzzle for you. I'm using 30b but I will get 30l now. I just did know  if I was going to have to change those codes again for the MiBs.

Here's another one: I stopped the script and, when I started it again, I found it had saved the last session! Nope, nothing new or changed and no idea why.

Thanks so much TM for this script and for keeping it up. I really appreciate it.

So, I've tried to figure out what I need to do but I can't get Statistics to add to the overall totals and save it. The current statistics show an update until I relog. It only saved it the first time I used it but I seem to recall that it does update the current and overall sections and saves them.

I'm not very good at writing scripts yet but, if someone can tell me what to change or fix, I can probably do it.

There is a lot more feedback to determine the travel spells when using magery(recall/gate travel) vs chivalry(sacred journey) - so the travel routines do a much better job of determining what happened.

Just got back to UO and trying the script now using recall with 65 magery. It still failed and I got "can't find tillerman" again. I'm trying the 30k version now. What does it change and do I need to go in and add the MiB code again? Oh and while I'm here, the overall statistics don't save and update between sessions. It saved one overall on July 28/22 and that was it, no updates.

Couldn't live without this script! Thanks for keeping it up.

I can use a soulstone and swap something, most likely, for magery. I will give that a try.

EDIT: I don't have any characters on that account I can steal magery from and it would take too long to train it up, not to mention also finding room for meditation. Is it possible to just have the sacred journey command repeat? Seems if I'm already there, fine and, if not, this might do it. On the other hand, maybe there's a way to use the Recall (scroll) option? I could make sure the book stays full. Just a thought.

Anyway, maybe that's possible or how else can I get it to check for location and know, if I'm not in the right spot, it casts again? I'm not sophisticated enough with programming to do that myself.

I'm down to running only a few scripts anymore, but this is one of them (as well as SOSMaster being supported by Gaderian).  I do run on a freeshard and run this script daily.  From my own usage, I see no issues at all.  My usage is that I run in 2 hour increments and so far have never had issues with this script. 

But if you're having lag issues, it's always best to locate the "WAIT" statements right after a recall/gate/sacred journey attempt and make them a bit larger.  Also if you find your character just standing there, just pause the script and note what line/subroutine the code is stalled at.  One thing I remember seeing is if the script gets to the point where it's either looking for a banker or a secure before the server has time to populate the surround #FINDIDs due to lag, it might get stuck.  Adding a delay can help this.

I extended wait times by about 10 each. I watched a bank run and it appears sacred journey is not casting for some reason. It looks like it's supposed to try again but doesn't do it. Am I right? There is no error and it's unlikely there's anything standing on her spot on the ship. Not sure what I should change since it seems to say to try it until it works but it only tried once.

If your house has the chance to spawn aggressive things, then setting up a safe logout location would be the wiser choice than leaving it unset.

Can we just chalk that up to temporary insanity? I have no idea what possessed me at the time, to go ahead and make my house the "safe" place! I've since changed it to an inn on both and that works fine. I still have the issue of not finding the tillerman at the bank but can't think it's anything more than lag.

I think it is timing more than anything and the fact the EUO is not aging well. It has been over a year since it was updated last. Anyways, the same thing happens to me from time to time as far as the recalling to the house and just standing there. The tillerman happens as well from time to time and I know that is a timing thing though I have not bothered with trying to adjust it since it is not every time. More than likely, it is due to a lag spike in game and the script thinks it already recalled to the ship.

Yes, I was thinking it might be a lag issue but to have that suddenly matter when it never did before seemed odd to me. I've been unable to simply run the macro on its own for some time now. Ah well, still better than manual. Thanks for the response!

Ok, this makes no sense and I'm just out of ideas. Lately, when the character recalls to the bank, the pack is emptied and everything put away, then the message "can't find tillerman" pops up. Well of course not, she's still standing at the bank! The key is right there and I do the setup every time just to be sure.

Sometimes, even tho I have N/A on both the inn runes and just using the two bank slots, my char will end up standing outside my house, looking at it while a reaper has a party.

I've had this happen on two characters, on two computers. I've redownloaded and replaced the script several times, restarted the comp, all that good stuff.

Any ideas? I'm at a complete loss.

To follow up, I've been using the scripts now for quite some time and they're both running without a hitch. The archer runs just fine as well, no issues at all. I've run these scripts for about 14 hours total and no problems so well done, it's still the marvel it's always been!

Hey Gad, if you think you've solved or at least positively addressed the weapon equip thing and would like me to roll your changes into the official version, send it to me and I'll DIFF it together.

Hi Gad! Thanks for the input. Yes, that was the bow. I was just about the only bowcrafter on the server so I did a lot of them. I'm going to stick with this bow. Serps are easy and I can one or two shot them depending on deepie or not. at the end of the run I was cutting up the fish, extracting the SOS and all the rest, so I'm happy with FAF.

I put the scripts on another comp and ran them. Claw is doing the same thing. Can't find the configuration file! This one used to work without a single hiccup so now what to do, what to try...

Gaderian, I don't know what we'd do without you. I had only one idea, the quiver, which I hadn't thought of at all. Removed the quiver, put arrows in pack, et voila! Claw populates!!!

Well, once again, I owe you guys big time and thanks so much! Now I've got some fishin to do!

Well, this is progress. It seems the whole culprit is a spell channeling bow. The same would apply to a rod too then. I'm using a store bought rod and a regular slayer bow and now it seems it's sorted out the whole way, including the MiB issue. I never did solve the issue of the blank setup file tho, since I just went ahead and set up my own. I'll have the other computer to work on so I can make comparisons.

Right now, I'll call it success and blame spell channeling for the whole mess. I'll work on the blank setup on another computer that doesn't have any of those apps on it. One caveat: The bow I'm using is old and would be before any modifications to archery. That may be why it works so well. I'll just keep a reserve on that idea.

Now time to go get some fishing gains!

There have been enough changes to fishing over the years that using the bow with the FaF is hit/miss for alot of people.  That's why I recommend using magery since that still seems to be pretty bulletproof and is probably just about as quick at dispatching the serpents as archery.

If you really want to use archery, then you might experiment with using different kinds of bows.  The script was originally written before the times of elf/gargoyle/special bows so there might be a bow type or a specific attribute that's messing it up.  It's hard to tell without not being able to single-step through the code to see where it's going.

So it sounds like you got the save/load working though?

I had to make my own rules because it wouldn't load the default list. I'm still having a problem with it, because not all items are looted.

On the bow issue, I may be in luck since the bow I'm using is very old, from just about the first server event after Trammel. Do you remember the black bows we had to get batteries or something for to turn them into slayers? It's a snake one. For sure magery is very reliable, as my other fisher can attest, but there's something about that satisfying "thunk" when my arrow hits the gooney...

So, now I have to figure out if claw is actually working. I haven't run long enough yet.

Solved one issue. Apparently, you can't use a spell channeling bow or rod. Works great with an old black slayer bow I had around. Prolly more a FAF thing, but. Now, I just have to solve the issue of cutting up the fish. I will see what I can do. Very close to working now.
