Title: Sampire Suit Made Easy
Post by: Guinness on November 14, 2012, 12:35:25 PM
hello, and welcome to my very first post on Crafting. I wanted to show you all an easy way to make a great sampire suit using regular leather and spined runic kits. You will also need a Forged Metal Tool of Artifacts (5 charges) and Mace and Shield Glasses. To start off, make some leather (Regular) pieces and try to keep your resists as high as you can (as always) =) After you get your pieces finished, get some Spined Runic kits and do these options
-Powerful Reforging
-Grand Art
-Inspired Art
(Name 1 - Vicious/of Slaughter)

All you want on your pieces will be 5 Hit Chance Increase (HCI) and nothing else. You might use a few spined kits, till you get the right mod you are looking for. Once you have the 5 HCI on your pieces, Powder Of Fortify all your pieces to desired Durability (255/255 is best), then you are now ready to imbue =)

Start off with lower mana cost 8 as you will use relic fragments on this mod (if you do this after other mods, relic fragments do burn away on non successful imbues)

Make sure you do your resists 2nd, that way you are guaranteed to hit your 70's. I always do 3 fire resists at 20 so you can get the 85 to fire for Vampire Embrace, so that way you will still be 70 fire after spell is activated.

I have added the image of my suit to give you an idea of how to do the mods and the resists.

Always remember to add in the material bonus as you will be doing it in horned or barbed leather for enhancements.

Leather Enhancements are as follows

-Barbed Leather gives you
2
1
2
3
4

-Horned Leather Gives You
2
3
2
2
2

Enhance the pieces that will get you your 70 resists. Most of the time, you will only be using Horned for the added fire, however, 1 or so pieces might need to be enhanced with Barbed, to add into the other resists so that you are to be at all 70's

you want the resists to be
70
95
70
70
75

If you have any added questions to making this suit, feel free to ask  I hope you enjoy this post and thank you all! There will be much more to come. I'm not a scripter, but I can help in this way lol
Enjoy -Guinness-

Might I ask your reasoning for going 55 Hci? is it so you can swap out your talisman?

yes. I didn't design it around a tali

Great contribution, thank you!  A splendid way to make that perfect suit that will last forever.  (Those pieces do take fort powder, right?)

As an aside:  If you don't mind running with some cursed gear in PvM, I strongly recommend use of Shame/Covetous/Wrong loot.  I'm getting some ridiculous suits with insanity like 90+ in all resists, 10+ in all regens, Max HCI/LMC/LRC, 35% SSI (before weapon bonuses).

Of course, I lose pieces every now and then...and my luck is zero.  Still, very amusing.

**EDIT:  I keep getting asked how I achieve 35% SSI before weapon bonuses.  Here you go...
- Ring w/10% SSI
- Bracelet w/10%
- Shield w/10%
- Cloak w/5%

I might be getting something off a talisman, too, but this is what I recall for certain.  Obviously, one-handed weapon only.

To NObama - Have you ever heard the song " Video Killed The Radio Star"? Well take that song and add it to shame loot killed the crafting star. eheheh... jk. Yes, shame loot is very intense and very beast. But when someone buys a suit to fit their desires, it gives them exactly what they want and will last 255/255, so you have a great suit that will last a year or so lol. and yes. PoF is always a must

Hoby - Thank you :) This is a very affordable sampire suit.

Why is your sampire male? That must make daemon spawns difficult...

I only use my char for despise and void pool, the rest of the time I am out gathering resources such as essence and other imbuing mats. no need to be fem, as I am a male and have never played a female char :)

@ Coolface - best place I've seen for SSI jewels is shame, however, you can make a SSI ring and that is called a turqouse ring.
I do not have much mana as all my weapons are Black Staff's with Max Mana and Life Leach ( ML, LL ). I never lose life with help of confidence, curse weapon, consecrate weapon and LL. Mana goes up very fast when using lightning strike or just using whirlwind attack as that hits everything around me. Another good thing to do is learn what area effect does best dmg to your spawns. Such as cold, fire, ect. Adding area effect to your weap will hit multiple creatures as well, and again with the ML and LL, you will gain life and mana.

@ Alpha and manwinc -  I have played female chars, and I do love playing with females  ;) i was the original Victoria's Secret on GL and on Chese way back when. I only liked to play dress-up and on those lonely Guinness nights, dress down.  :-*

@ Hoby - Very nicely done. the first suit always takes a bit of time to make, but very well done. Did you make it with a spined runic kit?

BTW what do u kill to get clean SSI 10 ring or bracelet.

Shame/Wrong/Covetous monsters.

You're never going to get a "clean" ring, though.  It's probably going to have other mods and it almost certainly will be cursed if it has 10 SSI.

Best shot at a "Clean" ring is the mid-level monsters.  Best shot at an epically awesome ring is the Chaos or Unbound Vortex.

Good news:  You get sufficiently awesome cursed rings/braces frequently enough that losing a cursed one in PvM won't really bother you.

Hey Guinnes,
Great post bro, two trains of thought. Have you tries the same process with woodland Armor and have you considered adding Mana Increase on two or three of the pieces?

I make woodland suits and use 4 different types. DI HCI MR DCI. This one is just the easy cheapest way to get a decent woodland suit.

i dont use woodland for hci or di, i use for hpr2 with bloodwood, i will explain why

bloodwood better ressists
hpr2 = 100% weight

so imbue
lmc8
mr2
stam5
hpi5

then enhance to +hpr2

one or other piece you change hpi and lmc for mana+

with woodland you can make 70's all without imbue any resist on the set, is just do the right base

so you will need hpi on 3 pieces (because you use crimson) = 25hpi

will have a huge mana, and huge stamina with max mr and hpr.

put a lt sash for mana mr

then you tell (and hci,dci,di?)

use the 20% jewels + grab + a good mana phase orb with lmc dci mr and condenmed for ssi

i'm using a ring di30 dci20 ssi5 hci15 dex4 and a brac dci20 hci15 dex8 di25 str1

make a build with high chiv for the new divine fury overpower then you will hit hci cap di cap, with high ssi

isnt an expensive set, is easly to found all the items. And i you get luck put a good shame piece with lmc damage eater mr and any other mod over cap

Sorry for the bad writed text, i'ts because i'm without time right now to put all on translator do avoid wrong spell.

I think the elf mana bonus is better for a samp as the JoaT's isn't really handy.  I also roll those nightsight earings on mine and I just move them when the elf nightsight screws up...food for thought.

Also you don't have to use the token as you could just do the quest if that's your thing.

Hi I was wondering why you did not use studded leather to get the LMC bonus of 3 per piece?

Im trying to make my sampire with Aloron's Armor set. I had gotten the suit in hopes that I could kick some ass in the new xpac but the suit blows and doesn't help with more damage really. I had blessed the suit so figured id get some use out of it. Plus I like the self repair 3 on it. 20 LMC, 15 mana inc, 16 stam inc, 16 dex inc and 60s Resist. Figured id use spine kit on sleeves and gloves. I have a few 10SS clean pieces laying around.
