Well, I guess I finally found a way to make this more complete, so here it is:

Make sure you read the instructions here as well, on how to get this script working with the claw...
If you use this, please tell me how it worked for you, so I can keep improving it.

The script will auto-detect if you have TM's CLAw running or not... If it isn't running, you will get the choice to use the old armor crafter instead... Although it is not recommended, and also no longer supported! :)

Also, any kind of feedback and/or suggestions are well appreciated.

I must be missing something.  I thought I had set this to look for only items <=3 5 4 4 4 as this would indicate that a hit was made at near the lowest possible resist in any of the areas but it never seemed to pick up a item.  I was using normal leather and had it cut up a 2 physical resist piece.  Am I reading this wrong?


Oh my, I never added this combination or any other ones.....so my first part of this thread should be a indicator for anyone....sigh.

Well, i'm not sure how you are using this, but it will look for that specific combination, all resists must match a given combination... If you set it like you did, it will only save pieces that have
physical <= 3 AND fire <= 5 AND cold <= 4 AND poison <=4 AND energy <= 4

If any of those is false, it will cut up the piece...

You can add as many combinations of resists you want to look for, but it goes in groups... That's the point of this crafter...

I see what the issue was.  I reset it to look for (physical <= 3 AND fire <= 0 AND cold <= 0 AND poison <=0 AND energy <= 0) and the same for all other resists and it works perfectly. 

Thanks for the reply, it set me straight and I am now adding lower and higher variables.  I'll report what this does but it seems to be running hella smooth now that I've worked out the Canadian issues.

It's picked up 12 out of 167 so far.  All are hitting for minimum resist but I've not seen a 17 19 18 18 18 (place 0's on 4 of the 5...)

Frneo, have you considered integrating TM's looter with this script?  The looter is callable and you can define exactly what you want to keep with it, changing your rules to suit what you are making.

I was thinking of writing the code myself, to allow the user to input whatever combination of criteria he wanted to look for in the weapon, for future versions...

But I guess it would be easier to use TM's claw to do this, there would be no need to reinvent the wheel hehe...

PS: I found a bug in v 0.2. You can get stuck in a loop while making tools, if somehow you have more than 0 ingots and still not enough to make the tool. I'll write a fix for this and upload v0.3 in a few...

I set it to run this morning looking only for hits at maximum resist less one but when I called my wife to see if anything was found she reported that nothing had been saved.  I'm thinking that my setting of 17 0 0 0 0 is the wrong tactic and I might want to try 17 1 1 1 1.  I'll buy up another 10-15K leather tonight and see what gives.

Using those settings reversed for minimum works fine though but out of 60+ saved from 1000+ crafts nothing was amazing.  I'm not sure what horned or barbed would be like but I have a few of those forged tools saved for my next suits.

I'm sorry to hear that heh... I've been pretty lucky with the crafter so far... After a couple of hours running yesterday, I imbued and enhanced the selected piece to this:

Well, this isn't meant for runic tools, at least for now.

So, you should try it out with regular pieces, to look for a good combination of resists, so that you can imbue and enhance later into a great piece...

I'm currently using the claw with the following complex rules:


And I'm making regular Woodland Armor... Most pieces that are saved like this, have these 2 low resists which I can imbue, and I also imbue SI, MI and LMC... I would then try to enhance these pieces with Heartwood, looking for a sixth mod of DI or HCI...

So a good test for you to run this, would be crafting woodland armor pieces with the above rules in the CLAw. That's how I'm testing it right now! Saved me some great pieces so far! :)

Remember that for this current version, you must have tinker tools inside your backpack, ingots in your resource, and enough skill to craft tools....

It will craft the needed tongs, saw or sewing kit, depending on what kind of material you're using...

EDIT: Didn't know about the list thing... Thank you TM...

(I'm loving the CLAw more and more as each minute goes by :) )

Remember in the CLAw it's very easy to share your rules.  Just bring up the Active Rules tab and press the "Info" button.  Then just cut/paste directly from the Status text field to the site since it automatically wraps the test in BBCode.

I'm no super imageshack guy so if someone can guide me to make that better....anyways with those plus the faction M&S glasses, tinkers legs, faction cinture, ssi robe and the shroud of the condemmed it gives me:

Defense Chance Increase: 35%  
Damage Increase: 55%  
Swing Speed Increase: 15%  
Hit Chance Increase: 45%  
Hit Lower Defense: 30%  
Lower Mana Cost: 41%  
Spell Damage Increase: 3%  
Physical Resist: 84%  
Fire Resist: 95%  
Cold Resist: 63%  
Poison Resist: 86%  
Energy Resist: 67%  
Dexterity Bonus: 28  
Strength Bonus: 18  
Intelligence Bonus: 9  
Hit Point Regeneration: 3  
Stamina Regeneration: 2  
Hit Point Increase: 23  
Stamina Increase: 33  
Mana Increase: 32  
Enhance Potions: 50%

Suit could have been slightly better because I forgot to count the 1 lmc on the cloak.  Chugged up I am 150 str/148 hp, 149 dex/182 stm, 73 int/123 mana pool.  The gloves I had made not using the forged tool  hence the lower durability as I use to just burn one PoF before enhancing.  In vamp it gives 70 70 63 70 67 and the char is a elf for the mana bonus.  I also use the HCI/LMC/DI Mana Phasing Orb.

Ok, changed this to an all-in-one crafter, which now supports armors, weapons, jewelry, etc. You will need to use TM's CLAw for all these new features to work.

I forgot to mention!

Magic Jewelry isn't working in version 1.0.

I'm going to have to setup a different way to craft the jewels, because they need different kinds of items...

And since this will only use "make last" from the menu... That would also cause a problem...

I will figure out a way to detect which jewel you crafted, and remember it so that it turns back to crafting it, after you craft tinker tools...

I will either use OCR for this, or finditem...

Probably can post an update with this, later today...

EDIT: I was talking it over with MeWon, and it seems the menu is a little confusing right now...

I'll probably do a makeover and post the new version with new menu tomorrow...

Ok, just added v2.1

When I added all the stuff to v2.0, I forgot to add a very fundamental line to the process, which would break the script if you weren't crafting jewelry...

It is fixed now...

I've tested v2.1 crafting armor pieces, jewelry and weapons with runic tools, all seem to be working well...

If you give this a go, please send me some feedback! :)

That was the old version...

In the new one, with claw support you just have to click the button to add an extra ingredient to the list... And then target the bark in this case.... It will detect the item, and the amount necessary to craft the item automatically.... The item name will show in the list, if selected properly...
You should have enough in your backpack to start crafting in the first place...

So I got it working.  Works like a charm.  Burned through about 8k of bark and didn't get anything usable.  Refigured my resists and messed up somewhere.  Resists I was trying for was way to high, don't know what I was doing.  So pretty much wasted 8k of bark.  Been busy restocking my bark.  Script works like a champ!  No problems at all.

I could do some research, and create a few loot profiles for a few specific armor sets, and then post them here, if that's ok with you, of course...

I think that would help people get started with the crafter, and also help them understand the claw a bit more...

This used to be armor specific... Now, with the newest version, this can craft armors, weapons and jewelry...

The weapon crafter is still just for weapons... The main thing here is the use of extra "ingredients" to craft whatever item...

I didn't want to remove the weapon crafter, just because this one became a lot more complete over time... When I first started writing this, I never thought it would get where it is! :)

I still use the weapon crafter for weapons, and this one for all the rest, especially because of secure setup at home...

Also, the non-claw version of this crafter will  only work with armor, and the non-claw version of the weapon crafter has specific looting profiles for weapons...

In a nutshell... The claw enabled version of this crafter, at it's newest version, does everything the weapon crafter does, and more... If you choose not to use the CLAw, then each one of the crafters has different utilities...

This is awesome.  Thank you for the script.  I've got it working on just the right piece for my suit now.

One thing that might help others who aren't familiar with TM's CLaw that I noticed when I first set it up:
At first I had my char hidden in my house to start crafting.  My char made the first batch of armor and then the script paused for the CLaw to evaluate.  But I guess the CLaw doesn't loot when your char is hidden so that didn't work out to well.  Once I revealed, things went smoothly.

yeah.. thats an issue that I've talked  to Tm about.... there is a way to fix it, but if you use it as a looter you will be revlealed when you start looting.

Could you include a button to stop the script when an appropriate item is found?

Like, if I'm trying to get a Twinkling Scimitar with >= 20 DCI on it and one pops in the first 30 I make, I'd hate to keep burning through materials. Or if I'm trying to get the right piece of armor for a suit and one fits and is looted... I don't wanna keep going and get a bunch of them.

If I'm not mistaken, there's a global var to watch out for with TM's claw when an item gets "looted", as soon as I find the time, I'll take a look to see if I can add that... Shouldn't be hard...

That would really be sweet... Set it up to craft an entire suit for you, and just take a nap... It wouldn't be so easy I guess, but probably feasible... A great idea...

OMG please don't LOL...

It would require including what type of armor to make and a separate rule set for each piece.

Craft: Leather Arms
Rules: Physical >= 9 , Fire >= 12 , Cold >= 8

Then, after that is made

Craft: Leather Leggings
Rules: Physical >= 9 , etc...

It wouldn't be feasible though. When I craft armor I like to move the numbers around to craft the easiest piece first which should put some extra resists into the other elements. Then the second piece is a little easier to make, and so on.

So after making the first one, I have to recalc the rule set to craft the second one. Too bad, it'd be neat to have a plug and play suit builder :)

Yeah, I also do that with armor crafting... Although if we could find a way to create complex rules for armor building, similar to what we do by hand, and integrate it with the claw, it could be done... I guess... hehe... Sounds like a pretty extensive project though...

This is just amazing. I've only come back to the game recently. I've been spending a lot of time mining (scripting) and working on a Sampire. I don't have heartwood and can't really afford an uber armor suit just yet, but I am going to use this to help craft a nice plate set. I saw it was mentioned earlier, but it would be really nice if the script could halt and perhaps make some noise when it found the item you're after.

I also occasionally have an issue, after using the salvaging bag, it fails to grab the ingots that went to my backpack, and put them back in the salvaging bag. The result is that newly crafted items get deposited directly into my main bag, and thus never checked by CLAw. If I weren't watching, I assume it wouldn't take long for myself to become overweight like that and break the script.

I'm running another script, a miner, in the same instance of EUO if that has any impact.

Tryed this today and couldnt get it to work, dont know if its me or the last patch has messed things up. it pauses and says i need more tools then when i make sure i have all the tools and unpause it keeps trying to craft tinker tools. it pauses here in the script

I haven't logged in for a while, so I am not even up to date with those last updates... From what you tell me, I assume some item types must have changed and are messing things up, as well as gump changes, which would cause the script to get stuck where you described...

I'm really sorry I can't be more of help right now, but I just can't seem to find the time to play UO or update my scripts lately... I just hope I'll be back in action soon enough, so I can continue contributing and helping out here... Hopefully things will get back on track IRL soon, then I'll come back with a vengeance! :p

Damn wanted to try the script out - made two samp suits already but wanted to try out your script and see if i can make a really good suit. :( well hope you come back soon. I may tear apart and try to fix it if its broken or make changes to get it working if i can learn enough about it. But i know your a damn good scriptor and its probably a complex script lol.

I think I might have a few sets from back when I wrote the crafter stashed somewhere in my HD's. I'm going to try and look for them as soon as I have a chance, and post them here, if TM gives the green light!

Anywho, nice to know that this still works after such a long time.

Man, I miss scripting... Hope to be able to come back soon!

So, It hangs up.... There was no Problem crafting the Gargoyle Leather items (chest, legs, kilt, and arms) I have the resists spread perfectly.  But Now I'm trying to craft a Gargish necklace.  I select the resource container, the target container, and then the script asks me to target the trash barrel.  After that it asks me to craft the item, i do, and it even asks me to target it. I do that and that's where it stops.  The item type is KDZ.  Can I hard code for that? so that i have a version that just pumps them out?

and it is line 398 I believe...Neo any solution that can get me rolling is appreciated cheers.

Well I found one issue but I have a work around. If your crafting things from the tinker menu, specifically gargoyle necklaces, and you run out of tinker kits in your main pack, it doesnt craft a couple it fills your salvage abg until your full. So then what i have done is tossed about 25 of them and moved the rest to my main pack and restarted as now I have like 80 or so tinker kits to burn up before i fill my salvage bag full of them again. I am looking for a necklace with very specific resists so in the end I'll use a ton of tinker kits to find it.  But that's it, otherwise it's smoothe sailing for me.  :)

Then started this script then went through its set up targeted everything like it said. had bark and wood on my salvage bag. made one item targeted it and it started the loop. It made like 10 then it stops and it says TM_CLAW is evaluating the item and the whole thing freezes. Anyone else having this issue ?

well my problume seems to be the claw set up, i set it up like Neo suggested :

When I add all the rules then go back and add the ( and ] as he has, i press enter so save it and click done but what it adds when i click done it changes it  removing the ( at the first which apparently changes it. when i add it and start it it puts every item it crafts into the target container. The claw filters it but the criteria is wrong.

Another thing to try is to delete all the base rules and try to construct them again.  It wasn't too clear what rules you wanted in the end.  care to post the logic you are looking for?  I kinda got confused....

Another thing to note....  You are *and*ing a bunch of things together.  Since there is no other logic like *not* or *or*, it doesn't really matter what order all those are in.  The logic will boil down to the same.  I can get into the mathematical implications of this if you want, but it's easier to just trust me.  ;)

well i was trying to get the claw to loot crafted wood armor when it hit the desired resists that are : 10 3 2 11 8 in the resists. basically needing two low resists. pioson and str are the higher ones.

Well as usual it was an error on my part that this wasnt working. When i set up the rules on the left I set up the complex rules as well. The error came when I added all of them to the right side of the claw set up. All i needed to set up was the complex rules on the right hand side. I apologise if I bugged anyone too much. I knew it was going to be in my set up.  Neo this is a great script.

great script here! just make sure you are attended to it, because you will be cleaning out your backpack often. often times the ingots will not be transferred back to the salvage bag. ive ended up with a backpack full of tongs or whatever item it is im crafting.

i have gone through and tried to fix this by putting a longer delay in between when you smelt the items and when it drags the ingots back to salvage bag. but i cant for the life of me get this script working correctly  :-[

Too bad you're running into issues like that. Do you think it could be lag or setup related?

If not, I'd appreciate it if you could send some more feedback so I can try and fix whatever is causing those problems for you.

I'm back after a looooong break, reactivated some of my accounts, so I should be able to debug it now for any found issues... :)

I also had the same problem. Turned out that if you are hidden while running the script the script will hang on the waiting for CLAw to evaluate but CLAw will not evaluate due to being hidden. Or at least in my case this was the problem. Not sure if CLAw is intended to work hidden or not.

Once again the script worked perfect! Being able to craft pieces with 2 minimum resists really is nice when making up uber suits and with the new armour changes coming I started to make base platemail pieces now. Just in case! Considering the odds of two resists landing at minimum values on the same piece you could never do it without the help of scripting. I average 6-8 pieces from 60k iron ingots.

I was trying to use this last night to make some armor pieces. Setup went ok but when making armor pieces, it would make one piece and then make tongs(I was making metal armor) then make another armor piece and tongs after that. With my limited knowledge, I couldn't find out why.

Sounds like it is looking for tongs and not finding them so it keeps making them every time it does a check to see how many are in your bag. Check the item id for tongs on your shard and compare it to the script.

If you craft an item that weighs the same as the leather used (gargish leather chest), the script never asks if you have created the item because it doesn't notice a difference in weight. One would then manually e.g. add 10 leather to the bag so it'll move on. But this then causes the problem that your %minimum isn't set correctly which will end up trying to craft without having enough leather.

So that's a bug i found but it's the first time i'm using this script and i am liking it :)

If you craft an item that weighs the same as the leather used (gargish leather chest), the script never asks if you have created the item because it doesn't notice a difference in weight. One would then manually e.g. add 10 leather to the bag so it'll move on. But this then causes the problem that your %minimum isn't set correctly which will end up trying to craft without having enough leather.

So that's a bug i found but it's the first time i'm using this script and i am liking it :)

Also had it happen to me once where it made 15 or so tinker tools. Haven't tried to reproduce to be honest :)

I would love to see a function so you could change what you are making without stopping and restarting the script. Yes, I am being lazy lol. I am making a suit and having it save 10 pieces before going on to the next piece. I can pause it and have just craft a different piece and then it will start crafting those. The issue comes into that the weight gets messed up and it does not grab more leather and  I have to pause it and add it or it just loops without crafting anything.

I love the script either way though!!

You might see that if I ever finish and release "Crafter Revolution"! :)

It's kind of stored away for now though! :(

EDIT: But yeah, for now I guess this script could use some love! I just find it hard right now to work with EasyUO after seeing how practical Stealth is...

Hello guys. Neo, first off I want to say thanks for the work you have into this awesome tool. Im running the claw with the resists I want and exceptional made items into a rule. As I run the setup on the crafter2.0 i target all the bags needed and then my tool and make my first piece. I target the pice like im asked and say it was what i wanted made. after that the script is trying to make me reforge the armor piece. Im not wanting anything reforged just a piece crafted with 2 resists staying at the base level. Any thoughts on how to get this to work out for me. I realize this is an old thread just hoping that others still use it and have some tips. Thanks

Hi all, i am wondering if anyone know if this script is still working? I follow the guide and fire it up, crafted a few pieces of armor and then status showing Getting ingots but it will never get any ingots. And it keep crafting the item without having enough ingot.

If you are on a free shard, make sure the id for the ingots is correct. Free shard and prodo use different ids many times.

Did you verify from where it looks to pull ingots? Some scripts pull ingots from a bag in the bank, while others pull from the top level of the bank. I have not looked at it, but check that you have ingots where it expects when grabbing them.

Thanks for your advise, I will try to verify as much as I can within my limited knowledge on scripting.

By the way, did you try using this script before? And it is working well for you?

Haven't tried it myself. Was just reading your description and I have had it happen before where I assumed a script would grab ingots from my resource bag in the bank... but it was actually looking in the top level of my bank. Lesson learned that if it isn't pulling materials and you have some there... maybe check if you have the materials where the script is actually looking to pull from. When in doubt, you could have some in both spots... run the script... if it grabs some, then check which balance was lowered. Probably an easier guess and test than reading code if you aren't up to it.

I found the problem already, when secure container have more than 1 type of ingot, it got confused somehow and not recognizing the iron ingots. So it will random pick any ID that is ENK. And i check all colored ingot ID is ENK as well.

When it try to refill iron ingot, it will just randomly pick up any ID ENK which I have some colored ingot that only have a very low amount so it fail the amount it is trying to pick up, it will keep trying to pick it up and fail and looping.

So what i do now is to put only iron ingot in the secure container and it works. :)
