I thought I would get a lot more done this past month than I did. I had hoped to post the URL of the new site today, but it's nowhere near ready for users.
The new home of the Taming Archive is being written from the ground up. The design will still feel familiar, though. All of the online utilities will be there in a new and improved form.
New utilities will be added as well. There will be brand new forums that won't get hacked all the time like phpBB. New news system, guild features, article system, and a wide variety of other things that will be sure to please everyone. Some of these tools have been in development for months.

This is just a reminder... this site is officially no more in 15 days, since that's when the domain name is expiring. Most likely, the domain will be gobbled up by someone hoping to make a quick buck off of this site's high Google ranking.
The recent down time had nothing to do with the site closing. Another project I was working on was causing our co-locate to not respond, and spending $25 (or more) to have it rebooted (something we've needed to have done 3 times so far) just isn't logical to keep a completely non-profit site going 24/7.
My other project is indirectly related to the future of this site. Think Stratics, but better. However, due to the downtime issues, there's no way it can be completed before this domain expires. In the mean time, I will be setting up a mirror of this site on another domain I own. It will remain there until my other project is ready.

If you're reading this, you're on the new server. The forum doesn't seem to be letting anyone log in, not quite sure why yet. Hopefully, that will get fixed within the next few days.

I realize this is short notice, but the Taming Archive will be going down for an unknown amount of time. For those unfamiliar, Generic Player's work has been hosting this site, and he is no longer going to work there. The site will come back up once we get a co-locate set up in Toronto. Hopefully, the down time is minimal.
