So I love this template, and was wondering if dropping bushido for spell resist would be good vs.
Slasher of Veils and other spell casting mobs.  Any downside?

No Honour/Perfection damage bonus, and can't use Confidence for heals. Apart from that, there's no need for Bushido, I don't use it on mine :)

Bushido is great for Sampires to get crits. They really fill up your mana from the mana leech on the weapon. Since Whammy's don't really ever worry about mana you don't need those crits and can just go with armor ignores instead.

Sampire = Bushido
Whammy <> Bushido

Least, that's how I see it.
