Site Rules / I can't see the dowload links to the scripts!?!?! WTF?!?!?
« on: August 16, 2014, 04:28:29 PM »
Yup, you must be new to the site.  All new members must post an acceptable introduction to become unrestricted.  Only unrestricted people can see links to posts where the scripts are attached.

Please read the site rules, and create an introduction post in the new member introduction area.  A moderator or admin will be along sometime to verify if the post is pleasing.

A VERY small number of people can become unrestricted without an introduction, but this requires people willing to give their expertise, information and input over many posts, but this won't happen immediately.  So taking 5 minutes to properly introduce yourself to gain access to attachments is a small thing to request.  If you have no need of the attachments, and just want to add your constructive input to the site, that's OK too.  You may be unrestricted at some point just to get rid of that nagging "Restricted" label.  :)

Note!
As of the migration to SMF 2.0, I've added the ability to see the attachments possible, and also information about becoming unrestricted.  Here's a sample taken from the CLAw download post:

A warning about the next post.

I know many of you come to this site to escape and have fun.  So if you don't want to read about sad things, I recommend you just not read any further.  But since it's my site...

I lost my little friend yesterday, and I find some comfort in others reading about it.  Plus, there's lots of people out there that go through this and there might be something here that might be helpful to others who may have to walk on the path I just got off.

I will update with some pictures in a little bit.

I was just curious how people are still getting their UO fix.  Vote to tell us how you indulge your UO silly bone.  Also post an explanation why if you feel compelled.  ;-)

So my script directory is over 1.3K scripts now and sometimes I totally forget what I've named something.  SUO has a nifty hidden feature you might not know about.  Suppose you might know SOME part of the filename, but not the exact name, here's what you do:

1) Goto File/Favorites.../Manage Favorites...
2) On the Favorites popup, select the checkbox next to the filter edit box in the upper left
3) Enter some text that might be in your filename (updates live and on the fly)
4) The possible script name appear in the textbox on the left
5) You can click the "Preview" button to see the text of the script
6) Once you find the script you're looking for, you can add it to your Current Favorites list

Enjoy!

Site News / Time for a change to the site slogan
« on: December 07, 2013, 02:39:04 PM »
Hey all,
So it's become PAINFULLY obvious that we are more than just an EasyUO scripting site.  Between the other offerings such as Stealth and UOSteam, plus lots of additional information on just general gameplay, it's clear that we are more than we first started out as.

"We bring the Easy Back to EasyUO"

This slogan was first thought of back when really all we did was EasyUO, but now I think it's time for a change.

SO, post up your idea about what the new site slogan should be.  We'll take the top ideas and put them a vote and I'll change the slogan GIF to the new and more descriptive one.

I'll get this started:

"Where UO Powergamers powergame!"

Your turn.

Off Topic / Verizon forcing people off their grandfatered unlimited plans
« on: December 02, 2013, 08:57:26 AM »
This may be the straw that broke the camels back for me with Verizon.  There's no way to select your old data plan when you try to upgrade an existing accounts phone.  They are forcing you off the grandfathered unlimited data plans.

I guess it's time to find another carrier.  I've been with them since the early days of Airtouch from around '94.  I had a T-mobile account for a bit, but it wasn't great.

So Verizon sucks now.  Shoot.

Off Topic / First peek at my post-operation
« on: October 17, 2013, 01:02:04 PM »
Went in to get my sutures removed and replace my plaster post-op splint with a fiberglass cast.  Suture removal sucked, and blood still bleeds.

I was kinda shocked at the length of the incision, and note the immobilizing pins protruding from me wrist.  Those come out in a month.  One side of incision is numb, but I feel the other side.

The  new cast sucks!  Very uncomfortable.  All muscle definition is all gone too, so it's going to be a long road back during physical therapy.

I buy quite a bit from them with my helicopter addiction.

The email I got was entitled, "If you don't have a beard, please Do Not open this email."

Not your normal Engrish, and quite funny.  lol.  Humor transcends language; we should always remember that.

There is a bit of Engrish going on, so all the better!

Misc. Scripts / TrailMyx's Drag(and drop) Queen

Code: [Select]

; Script Name: TrailMyx's Drag(and Drop) Queen

; Revision Date: 9/29/2007
; Purpose: Simplify the act of moving items from container to container

;   Cerveza the UO master!

;=================================================================

This is one of those helper scripts I've had laying around for a while.  I posted another version of this, but there was no UI so I slapped one on.  I use this contantly as I'm clearing my bank box of MIBs, special nets and tmaps.

Now you can control what gets transferred and what doesn't.   You can manage your transfer lists and the script will give you status about how many items are left to transfer.

This script basically monitors what you are doing, and notes the source and destination containers for items you are dragging around.  Instead of having to do each item by hand, the item will ask to take over the dragging process for the remaining items.  This particular item will be remembered in the "Keep" list so you won't be queried to drag/drop again - the script will just do it for you.  For items that you don't want the script to handle, these will go in the "Ignore" list.  You will not be asked again to drag/drop, and these items will be ignored for future queries.

The script isn't perfect and will sometimes miss sampling the source or destination container.  If this happens, you may have to pause/unpause the script using the Enable/Disable button.

This script doesn't save anything; each time you run it the script will learn from your drag requests.

Note on stackables
I haven't figured out a way to get the stackable sampling for it's source container yet.  So this script will only handle single items automatically.

Note on Ignore Text
Checking this checkmark will filter each item that you are dragging looking for text separated by "_".  Please note that this text string MUST end with a "_".  So if you are looking to ignore items with 2 different text values, the string must be like this "string1_string2_"

Ex.  Don't drag expert or ingenious maps:  expert_ingenious_
