Howdy all,

Just wondering if it would benefit anyone to have an Elwood quest script posted?  I wrote one before I quit UO last time, which automates everything up to the picture portion itself.  Once you get to the picture portion, you are responsible for the movement (I just never wrote the rails or standardized recall locations), but it handles the actual picture taking, and knows when it's finished.  It was working great last I used it, but it might need some debugging.

If there's interest, I can find it on my old drives.  If not, no problem.

Yup, I had a script written for that one some time ago.  I never published it because it was more of a "helper" script that automated much of the tediousness, but didn't fully automate it. (like railing around looking for the monster to take the picture of).  Might be easier now that I have my rail engine (that didn't exist back when I did this helper script - so this one is OLDDDD!)

A fully automated script for this quest line would be a giant pain in the butt.

But I don't think anyone has published this yet, so you'd be the first. ;)

Interesting. I hadn't even heard of this quest. UOGuide says magic item and some obsidian statue piece.. is this right?

Yup, the fun part was piecing the obsidian pieces together to make a full obsidian bust with a random name.  One of mine was "An Unflappable Wizard".  lol  I think it took like 8 pieces, but not completely positive.

Back when I played OSI, I put together several (and I mean several) statues.  There were like 45 different statues you could collect (which I wanted to put on display), but more importantly, one of the statues was blank, and would fill your name in.  Never did get that one...

wow..I remember this script all too well. I just went through my old files and came up blank, so if you are willing to post it back up I would love to have it back in my files. I need quite a few more statues to finish my set :)
