Good evening all. I joined this site to make my gaming experiance on Ultima Online a little easier and less irritating. I then read that I had to make an intoduction thread. Ohh goody. Here we go.
First. You can call me Sauce. It has been my gamer tag since the late 90s and early 2000s. Ive used it here and there throughout UO but I mainly, and for whatever reason I went buy Omni on UO. Dont ask me why, I dont know. Now I just go by Sauce.
Usually I play Ultima Online on my days off and in the evenings. I prefer little shards that dont have much going on as I just like the solo content and avoiding people of possible. You see, I work in sales by day and have to put on a happy little smiley face to produce profit. I kiss customers asses, tell fat old women they are beautiful and that fatter old men are so impressive. All day, every day. I pretty much hate most people. All to just make a buck ya know. I do ok for myself. But after all that ass kissing, I dont want to worry about newbs and nerds on Ultima Online. So I keep a low profile.
Careers are great and all but we all need an escape and UO is that for me. I have been playing this silly little game since 1999. I was hooked. I started on Pacific and played a bit on Napa with a little Sonoma mixed in. As you can tell, I live on the West Coast. So Ping was important. Especially since I was PvPing. Runnin around naked with a double axe watching all the oooOOooOOooOOOooo's. Made my Day. I eventually moved to the Legends shard when it opened up as I wanted a shot at a Castle. I didnt think it would happen on Pac or Napa and I had a little marble on Sonoma that wasnt cutting it. So I gave Legends a shot. Worked out. I was one of the first to place a Castle. Just outside Brit by the Swamps. It was in a pretty good spot and low and behold, I was offered $600 to sell it to someone. Needless to say I took the money and ran. I was able to secure another castle a couple weeks later. All with farming. I opened a second account and then placed my third castle. Sold both of those for a hefty sum of in game gold that I then turned around and sold for real life cash. I made about $3000 selling gold and items on Ebay before they banned virtual items from thier site. So then I just turned to making profit and PvPing. Thats when I found scripts.
Killing people became the focus of my game time. I was able to run scripts to help me achieve this. Im not proud I used auto bandage and pot chugging scripts but PvP was exciting and never had a dull moment. Faction PvP, raids, defending, trash talking, griefing....all of it was amazing. It was my pride and joy for years. Then AOS happened. Insurance ruined the PvP scene at first. But I overcame the initial set back and learned to adapt. It was still fun, but it was not the same. As I got older, life became more of a focus. And that pesky sales job I had started becoming the most importnat thing. Working 60-70 hour weeks simply left no time to play UO as I had been. So I took large chunks of time off at a time here and there....kids....wife....friends.....job. That was the stuff that took up my free time. Now that my kids are older, Im making stupid money and my wife is just happy I am at home, Ive decided to get back into the game. And that led me here.
You see. I just want to enjoy the mind numbingly enjoyable experiance of UO and what that entails. The sounds. The music. The well, nostalgia.
Once I get access to the scripts to help build characters I need, I will be a happy camper!
