I got spoiled and got a Yew kit in my first 10K boards.  Since then I have had my expectations beaten more into line wit three oak kits in the next 200K boards.  Lots of talis though, which is some consolation.  I started a collection of 100 Kill talis and slayer talis.

My friend has been doing just lethal darts and used about 50k of bolts so far.  He has gotten 6 oaks 2 ash 1 yew and 1 heartwood.  I think he got a bit lucky but 50k of bolts is 5,000 quests.

You should be able to get a much better return on the Simple Bow quest, but at the sacrifice of a lot more wood.

I changed the script to do Heavies so that I could GM fletching at the same time. Is there a correlation between what you make and what you get for rewards?  I will switch back to the simple bow quest if making Heavies is just going to eat more wood.

Thanks again for the script TW. Really appreciate it.

The difficulty of the item has no effect on your likelihood to receive a kit/saw.  There is use for moving up to heavies.  Frankly, when I GMed bowcraft, I didn't even go to heavy crossbows; I did it with just crossbows.  But the fact that you can use the heartwood quests to GM a skill is a nice feature.  Too bad you don't have the same options for carpentry.
