This is an old bug, but not many people know it. There is no Z axis for things you need to stand near to do crafting...
i.e. Soulforge's, Forges, Anvil's, and the like.
What does this mean? Well your crafting room just got bigger!
example: In my keep, the first main room you enter is my crafting room, but I placed the soulforge, forges and anvils on the roof. I am able to smith and imbue on the first floor because the code does not mention Z axis for them. So I have a ton of chests and no forge or soul forge in my crafting room. Gives you a lot of room to store all your supplies for all trade skills within arms reach because you dont need to work around those big bulky things.
Now let me in :p

I thought this was common knowledge >_>
Why else would EA implement massive 4x4 craft bench (soul forge) which is capable of taking up 95% of the floor of some people's house?
-
I didn't know this, thanks for the post Coragin. Can definitely be handy.

I stand corrected!

I'm a newb.

lol

Opps. I also thought it was common knowledge or I would have mentioned it before. I have all my stuff on the roof also so it does not take up room while I am crafting. Go figure.
-
Well since its not so common knowledge, does Coragin get in the super secret area? :)
-
LOL, I doubt that the fact that I didn't know about this is any indication that it was a "super secret-worthy" bug.
Nice try though :)

Methinks Gimlet may have rolled his eyes and thought to himself, "silly noob." heh
Seriously though, there are several things in the game where the Z axis just isn't taken into consideration.

Anyone remember the program where you could modify your z axis and float your boat all around the green land scape or atleast alot of places you could go in a boat that was floating 10 to 15 feet in the air :)

I was also clueless about this bug... Can i get my X millions back that i spent on a single tile soul forge.
-
Common knowledge but there was a way to use the deco tool to raise and break the massive soul forges into a single tile piece sou you could actually have one in a small house. It may be fixed but I thought that bug was also fairly common knowledge!

Same method to break altars, pentagrams, stone tables.

You can also place a soul forge in a 7 X 7 house or 8 X 8 I do not remember which and after you place it. Go to customize and take all the outer parts of the soul forge down by placing walls or other objects where teh soulforge used to be and what you are left with is a 2 x 2 soulforge. I did this on one of my extra shards shortly ago on the second floor. With a 8 x 8 you can only place 2 floors.

You can also place a soul forge and then customize the house and place a teleport tile in the middle of it and then be able to teleport to the middle of your forge

Nice this is one I had not thought of.
Keep them coming. We can break this down and make a thread called. "All thought common bugs "

A possible other "bug" or more likely an unknown game mechanic. You can turn your house trash can into a secure and then it is no longer limited to 400 max weight, but now is like all house containers is can hold unlimited weight.

not a bug. They specifically made it so you could lock down the trash barrel. Especially during clean-up.
