Viewsonic Gtab goes on sale from time to time at around $249.  I like mine OK.  The screen is the only thing I don't care for, but it's got a zippy CPU, and 16GB builtin.  Oh, the stock OS kinda sucks because they don't have access to the android market, but I put on Vegan Gingerbread and am very happy with that.
I picked one of these up for about that price, but haven't yet flashed the ROM...been super busy at work. But the price is very sweet.  The only complaint I have so far is the viewing angle kinda s*cks.  You basically have to straight up be tangent to the screen or the diffraction in the screen makes it so everything goes dark.  But this also makes it hard for other people to spy on your screen :D

Sorry to hijack your thread, 12TimeOver, last time I post a request here I promise!  So I just finally finished replacing all null chars, there were 19 MILLION of them and it took my quad core PC about 25 minutes to replace them all.
So if anyone knows how to turn off the display null char option, that would really be optimal.

Maybe you all can help me with this question: Notepad++ is formatting my UO journal terribly. I'm used to the fact that the UO client will save all the text with a space character in between each letter (ie: Y O U  S E E : b l a h)
The problem is that apparently this is a null char, and N++ displays a little black graphic for each null char making my saved journals impossible to read. After much googling to no avail, I turn to you, my new scriptuo friends to see If you can helpe
I would select the NULL character, then select Search\Replace - the NULL character should be in the "Find What" field, then make sure the "With What" field is blank and select Replace All.

Just updating you on my solution.  What you suggested was the first thing I tried, and it didn't work due to being unable to paste a null character.  But after your suggestion, I thought I'd try finding the escape char for null and doing a search/replace for that worked.
The problem now is that all of my characters dump in to the same journal file, so I have an enormous file filled with Null chars intermixed with text.
I just highlighted probably 1/20th of the file and did a replace as I described above and it took almost 8 minutes to complete and replaced 1.5 million null chars lol
So, I need to know how to make it not display nulls (also, if anyone knows how to change the filename the client saves to, I would be extremely grateful, that way I can seperate my chars journals and not have all of them dump to the same JOURNAL.TXT file)

Heck, that was a great intro!  I remember the days when I was against all types of automation.  It took me a while to warm up to it, but then it was like a crack-sandwich!  lol

Anyhow, welcome to the site!

Hehe.  I hear you.  I probably would've quit long ago if writing scripts hadn't kept me interested (not to mention also have gotten carpel tunnel syndrome).  Now I probably spend more time writing scripts then actually playing!

New member introductions / My Intro

Hello ScriptUO community, I am introducing myself per forum requirements.  I apologize in advanced if it is awkward; I was never good at intros.
I just discovered this site while learning LUA in OpenEUO.
My UO history: I first bought UO in the time of T2A, but I couldn't play it due to my computer not being fast enough to handle its graphics (which seems really funny looking at the graphics now).  So I actually was able to play once I got a new PC in about 1999.  I played on and off for about 4 years, getting back into the game again around the time ML was released.  I then quit playing again for several years, and started playing again early this year when I discovered a link to a new freeshard on Reddit (can you guess which shard hehe).

Back when I first started, I was vehemently opposed to scripting.  But when I started the second time, I really got in to it.  I think I was just irked by the monotony of some of the "quests" that EA introduced in ML expansion, and overcame my opposition.

My first major script was actually 2 scripts which had one account as a peacemaker and the second account as a tamer/mage who would tame drakes, gate them to the Moonglow zoo and donate them.  Using this, I ended up getting an entire statue collection.  That script is long gone now, lost when I got a new PC.  My current project is an IDOC watching script.

Anyway, I look forward to contributing to what appear to be some excellent scripts/scripters on this site.

Other interests besides UO: PCs in general, Literature, Poetry, Gardening, music, music, music!
