Questing / Re: neo's cleanup residue quester 10/06/2011
« on: May 16, 2015, 05:17:04 PM »
Had two issues. Followed the advice and moved my runes closer to the quest giver. Second the position for the Toggle Quest Item on my menu worked at 190....not 130, 140. or 165 as recommended. I did trial and error to get it to work. Yes, forget who said it...it works so fast you have to pause to see what it is doing. For what it's worth I am doing this for the Runic Chisels not the cleanup points.

1. I have made the gumpsize change.
2. On both PCs I have the files map0.mul and map0LegacyMUL.uop in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Classic.
3. On this PC I am running Windows XP, on the other PC I am running Windows Vista.
4. EA Shards.

OK, probably not a script problem as it is so wide spread.  :'(

But, I am having these issues on two different PCs at two different physical locations with two different OSs (XP and Vista).

The most recent problem is with Genesis' Auto Item Buyer. I read the posts on this site and the last 8 pages of posts on EUO site (until the release of 3.5). I did not find a similar issue: The buyer works for everything except actually buying. The menu opens and scrolls. The stats screen records gold spent, regs and bottles purchased. However, no gold is actually spent, no regs are purchased, and the buy menu shows nothing being purchased.

I recently had a problem with Twinkle McNugget's (very funny...the text replace) and Spewey's mining: no mining was ever done. Just recall from site to site. Once the scripts stopped working for a character they never worked again, even when restting spots (Twinkle McNugget's). I checked the spots manually, there is ore. After my 6th miner on the third shard stopped working I gave up.

Other issues include:

CyberPope's mining radar does not launch, no error, nothing
krustenkrabbe's SupplyShopper does not work. I used this for years, but it has been a while.

That probably explains why I can't get it anymore. Tis OK. The lesser version is just fine.

Especially if you can get the 196 proof Ever clear not the watered down 150+ proof.

Public Bugs / Take a Quest Item out of your pack
« on: February 27, 2013, 01:50:43 PM »
Do not know if this still works.

If you have a quest item in your backpack and transfer that character from one shard to another the item will be able to be removed from the back pack. Note: If this still works....the item cannot be moved once dropped. But, if it still works it will be bright orange and allows you to remove items that can normally not be removed from your pack; in this case the tuition reimbursement scroll.

Two problems so far. Tried to train from 0. Got stuck at 20 skill. Says that i do not have the skill that that the macro is trying too create ate that skill. Trained the skill up at tailor shop. Stuck at 50. Backpack was full. Script no longer cut the items.

I did read 7 pages of replies, not all 52. So, I may have missed this.

Is there a way to set item ID to loot? Or some other way to loot specific items like seeds? I am trying to collect hedge seeds and have to use a different, more touchy, script that allows Item ID.

Is there a hard number at which an item unravels to a relic frag? I have been using 400.

BTW, use the Berserker Mode (F11 attack all) rather than the Attack Best Choice mode (F12). Sometimes with Attack Best Choice your character fixates on a monster out of reach (like a Rising Colossus) while getting hammered by closer monsters.

I have had crashes with the same combo. But, it is far better than the crashes I got with the old looting script I used. The key for all looting scripts is not to move, obviously. So, I now use Froncy's Auto Attack. You lose honor, but does that matter when scripting? Time is not of the essence and you are probably not scripting against uber monsters. Anyways, I have great luck with my sampire as he just sits there and the bad guys come to him.  With the thrower you lose a lot of loot when the monster dies out of reach. But, no crashes.

I am currently building a necro mage on Atl. That character is already outfitted fairly well. I need a week to finish that character off. So, I will see Hardy and Freddy soon. BTW, I visited the UWF website and tried to register for the forums. I got kicked out with an error for an invalid link. That is why I went to the UO Script forum.

Ghost  and  KaliofLS, I have that dexer on LS already, skills are:
Anat 120
Bush 120
Chiv 85
Heal 90
Parry 120
Sword 120
Tactics 95

He has a complete set of weapons and great talismans. I solo Yamadon with this guy. It would not take much to convert him to a sampire.

Do yall use ICQ, vent, etc.?

My ICQ is 612247949

I actually ping the same for Pacific as I do on LA.

I actually moved all my characters from Lake Superior with my guild two years ago.

So, both shards would be possible.

Here is what I have available for transfer:
Mystic Mage Gargoyle
Wampire Macing Gargoyle
Tamer Mage Gargoyle
Necro Mage Elf
Bard Mage Human (With all Bard skills 120 and available on stones)
Stealth Mage Elf
T-Hunter Mage Human
Thief Mage Human (With all thief skills maxed and available on stones)
Necro mage Fisherman
Chiv Bush Swordsman Human

Available to be recreated:
Sampire Human
Disco Thrower Gargoyle
I do have one person that does champ spawns and hunts Slasher and Stygian Dragon with me occassionally.

General UO Chat / Looking for a guild
« on: January 04, 2013, 03:03:54 AM »
Hello my pixel peeps.....

I am looking for a guild to join. I am not overly concerned of the shard as I am sure it will be on one other than the shard I am currently on; Lake Austin.

What I bring:
I currently have 13 fully developed characters on LA, and a decent dexer on Lake Superior. I am willing to transfer several of them as needed.
I prefer doing champ spawns, peers, bosses, challenging PvM type stuff.
I do not do PvP. I am too slow and suck at PvP. I will participate in PvP to escape raids of champ spawns, help rez guildmates, defend bases.

What I am looking for:
A guild that has a high activity rate; multiple players on-line during prime times. Players that are not bank sitting.
   Hunts of all types.
Absolutely NO role playing!!! Not only do I not do it, this has ruined the guild that I am currently in.
No drama (see no role playing).
Housing location to safely log and exchange items between characters. I am unwilling to drop the Tram castle and other prime house on LA.
Crafting support. At least until I can train up and transfer another crafter. I will collect all ingredients needed, I am not looking for gifts.

Been a long time since I trained taming. Did it to 120 when power scrolls first came out. Did it all manually. Before skill on jewelry, alacrity scrolls, and scrolls of transcendance. Oh, how I try to forget....and it worked, or maybe I just got old. Anyway......that is too high a skill to still be doing polar bears, IMHO. Drop your skill table at least 10 points across the board. The harder the tame, the better the gains. Have you tried the crystal ball of knowledge? When using that I move up the scale when it gets to optimum.
