Because they allow me to do endless AIs without being in Wraith Form =D

EDIT:  This is my Unbound Vortex weapon of choice.  Does a nice round 120 points of damage per swing.  And, with my discobot, I never miss!

Additional char.  You need 120/120/120 to discord the vortexes.  I can't get that on a melee template.

I run a second character with mega luck in my party.  The luck generator takes that second char's luck into account.  I've noticed a marked increase in the number of 'artifact' level loot items at 1800+ luck versus the  890 luck I run on my sampire suit.

EDIT:  To be clear:  I get *at least* one legendary artifact per Vortex on average.  On a bad day, it's one every other vortex...but typically I'm having very good days =D

Indeed.  I think what puts it over the top is the 'Hit Fatigue'.  The monsters hit less often while I never miss.  Good times.

You mean like my NObama vs the Acid Renowned thread?  So much better!  Most of the stuff goes into the unravel bin, as dxrom mentioned up top, but I have some envy-worthy pieces.  Every now and then, I even get something that can be repaired, although I have yet to find a legendary non cursed artifact.  It's possible that I've received one with crappy mods and junked it, I suppose.

Some of my favorite stuff are the minors with MR 4 and no negatives, or the awesome rings with +20 in multiple complementary skills.  I don't know if one will spawn with Taming\Lore, but its going up for sale!
