12TimesOvers' Script Library / XIIxOveR's Standard Subs
« on: September 23, 2010, 06:02:57 AM »
Just a thread for various subs I've written which I use regularly. These are probably the same or similar to what many other people use and probably already have in their libraries but I thought "Why Not".

12TimesOvers' Script Library / XIIxOveR's SuperStuff
« on: September 17, 2010, 12:36:02 PM »
Small update and repost as 2.0!

XIIxOveR's SuperStuff is nothing more than a menu with buttons to do...well...stuff. Sometimes I just want to avoid keyboard commands.

Please post up any ideas for other items to add to this, there is a wealth of possibilities. Just simple, repetitive things that eat up macro space and key combinations!

Code: [Select]

12TimesOvers' Script Library / XIIxOveR's Miner For Dummies 3.0
« on: August 29, 2010, 09:05:27 AM »
NOTE: This script requires that you have restored working MUL files into your UO directory! If your character won't mine when it recalls to a location this is not a script issue, it's an issue with your UO install. Search the site for MUL Files for more information on how to address the issue before posting in this script thread!

3.01
  • Missing female Gargoyle type in the weight sub added
  • Removed option for not using Setup - ie, first time through with each char must use guided setup then stored variables are available
  • Added resource counter reset button so resource counter can be reset AT ANY TIME without resetting all other variables
  • Created menucheck sub for monitoring of menu buttons (pause and reset) for more efficient menu handling
  • Fixed reported issue where script expects tinker tools even when "ToTinker = No"
  • Fixed reported issue where script won't use shovels from Secure unless "ToTinker = Yes"

3.02
  • Fixed counter reset
  • Fixed start and setup issues

3.03
  • Officially ditched the tile type check during the "initialization" cycle, at least for now.

3.04
  • Added sand support.
  • General cleanup

3.06
  • Fixed major logic issue with scanning of tile layers
  • Fixed Stone counting issue
  • Fixed issue where script would keep counting failed attempt at dumping resources
  • Swapped in XIIx standard subs where applicable
  • Misc cleanup

3.1
  • More cleanup!
  • Fixed dropoff issue where lag was causing a problem opening pack to eliminate "ghost" items in pack
  • Addressed menu problem where resetting resource counts caused Start/Pause menu button mixup

3.2
  • Even more cleanup!
  • Miscellaneous performance improvements
  • Menu revamp to support EUO menu changes and address periodic crashing issues. Script is much more stable now!

General UO Chat / EUOX Crashing constantly
« on: August 28, 2010, 05:45:37 AM »
Lately while running my mining script EasyUO has been crashing - A LOT. I get things running and it could run for a couple hours or for a few minutes and BAM, dozens of error messages cascaded across my screen. It's gotten to the point where I can't even run the damn thing effectively.

I'm running on the same Windows 7 machine I've been running on for the last 8 months or so with no changes to the machine at all (that I'm aware of). Has anyone else been having issues like this? It's getting ridiculous!

Oh, and every time it crashes, and I mean EVERY TIME, my character is sitting a the bank in the middle of an unload routine.

Oh, and I guess there is a change - I added counter's to the mining script and they are engaged during the unload routine, coincidence? Not sure...

I may need some people that use my 2.61 version to beta-test the 3.0 version for a bit to see if they start having the same issue.

Off Topic / Keurig Brewer cost per cup
« on: August 27, 2010, 11:15:39 AM »
So this is for all the K-Cup users out there. If you don't know what they are then this post is not meant for you because you are obviously not enough of a coffee addict to have moved on up to the coffee-snob big-league of ridiculous expense and waste. For those of us that have accepted this new way of perfectly-brewed, single-cup, deliciousness please read on...

So for the last year or so I've been buying my k-cups from a variety of sources depending on what kind of price I can get at any given time. One thing all K-Cup connoisseur's have in common is the quest for the lowest price-per-cup. The price per box doesn't matter, it's the final price-per-cup! If you buy a box of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters k-cups in your local Kohl's, for example, you might expect to pay $10.99 for a box of 18 or $.61/cup. On the other hand, you might buy a box of 24 from Keurig.com for $13.95 or $.58/cup. The trick is to find the best price then the best ways to lower that price to beat the system!

For example, here are some of my own results:

1) Register your Keurig brewer @ keurig.com and get 2 free boxes of 24 when you buy 2 boxes. So this has been the best one really, and I'll tell you why in a minute. But first, the breakdown - you create an account, register your brewer's serial number and you are eligible to use the coupon code "WARRANTY". You buy 4x24 packs for 13.95 each, this automatically adds you to their "coffee club" for 10% off all orders and puts you above the minimum requirements for free shipping. After the 10% this comes to $.52/cup. Add the coupon code and voila, $.26/cup!! Now you can also ad a 5th box which gets you a 5-pak sampler for free but this actually increases your price to $.30/cup. Now the cool thing, you can actually re-register the same serial number to different accounts (needs a unique email address per account) thus savor this price over and over! Of course there is a moral repercussion here and I've reached my max; having done this about a dozen times I started to feel that perhaps I shouldn't be doing it so no more!

2) Amazon.com - the next best thing has been buying the 50-pak's from Amazon. You can get these as cheap as $21.00/50 or $.42/cup. The cool thing is you can take advantage of Amazon's "Subscribe and Save" discount where you add the item to your Subscribe-and-Save profile and set up an automatic delivery schedule (I use once every 6 months), then you automatically get 15% off the item and free shipping. This equates to $.35/cup. Once you confirm the sale you simply cancel the automatic delivery from your Subscribe-and-save profile. All done! The problem with this method is Green Mountain Coffee is not represented by the $21.00 50-pak's so you have to be happy with what you can get.

3) Kohl's brick-and-mortar - I am constantly inundated with Kohl's spam in a couple different email boxes. I don't unsubscribe because they send out spam that, if you actually use correctly, can save some $$! For example, I recently got an email for 30% my purchase including sale/clearence items. In the mail last week I got some coupons for an additional %20 any purchase if I use my Kohl's card. So let's break this one down! I go to Kohl's, find the box of 18 for $10.99 or $.61/cup. Subtract 30% code and 20% coupon, I am now at $34/cup! Not too shabby and nothing shady whatsoever! Here's the cool thing, if you don't find the flavor you're looking for Kohl's is equipped with Kiosk PC's throughout the store. From the Kiosk you can order from Kohl's online, enter your coupon codes, and because you are ordering from a store Kiosk, get free shipping. Now we're talkin'!

So, I'm looking for other ideas or good k-cup deals. Do you have a Keurig brewer? Do you have a favorite method of obtaining cheap k-cups? What is the cheapest k-cup you've purchased on a regular basis and how did you get there? If you have a brewer and didn't realize you could legitimately get two free boxes until you read the above, feel free to share ;) or at least add rep!! LOL!

I know most people won't care about this thread but I'm bored and frustrated with the prices of Green Mountain Coffee k-cups!

12TimesOvers' Script Library / XIIxOveR's Treasure-Hunter's Helper
« on: August 17, 2010, 09:45:06 AM »
Script has been updated to support Publish 105 changes

Code: [Select]
   Display XIIxOveR's T-Hunter Helper User Guide$
       1) Sort Maps:$
Sorts a container of mixed tmaps into separate containers. Target a$
container of maps then target each container the maps should be$
           sorted into then press "Start".$
      2) Decode:$
Automatically decodes a container of maps. You MUST have the$
correct skill to decode the maps in the targeted container or$
the script will attempt to decode indefinitely$
      3) Unlock:$
Simply target a locked trunk and the script will repeatedly attempt$
to unlock it until successful or lockpicks are gone. You MUST have the$
correct skill to unlock the targeted trunk or the script will attempt$
           indefinitely.$
      4) Find Map:$
This option scans key tiles in a radius around the toon looking for$
the map dig location. To use, place the character in the area you$
expect to find the map, press Find Map, and select the map to dig up.$
Once found the toon will pathfind to the correct dig location.$
With Pub 105 changes this will check a large radius FAST!$
      5) Load Locker:$
This option will load any valid tmap or SOS in your backpack$
into a Davies' Locker within 3 tiles of your toon$
      6) Lockpick Tracking:$
It sucks when you're getting ready to unlock a map only to find$
you are down to two lockpicks in your pack! Check the box and add$
the number of lockpicks you want and the script warn you when you$
           are below that amount$
      7) Cancel - Cancels an action in progress.$
      8) Help - Displays this help message.$

3.0 Notes
1) A small update to make the "Find Map" function a lot more efficient thanks to no longer needing Mining, it now checks only 9 key spots around the toon in order to maximize reach with increased speed.
2) "Sort" function updated for the new map levels. This function sorts between levels (Cache, Hoard, etc) not between "themes" (Mage, Warrior, etc)
3) General cleanup and smoothing out of the menus

Please leave me input including any bugs, issues, or additional feature requests and thank you for checking it out!

Off Topic / Inner Peace
« on: August 10, 2010, 04:30:05 AM »
I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me today,
and we all could probably use more calm in our lives.

Some doctor on television this morning said that the way to achieve
inner peace is to finish all the things you have started.

So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't
finished and, before leaving the house this morning I finished off a
bottle of Merlot, a bottle of shhhardonay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle
of vocka, a pockage of Prunglies, tha marinder of botl of Prozic and
Valum pscriptins, the res of the Chesescke and a chox of bocolets.

Treasure Hunting / TMapper Redesign
« on: August 05, 2010, 07:05:52 AM »
So with the changes I've come to the conclusion that the solo Provo/Peace Bard Tmapper is no longer the best template for level 6 maps. Namely this is because all Guardians must be killed before opening the trunk thus leaving no spawn to provoke on that last Guardian and if he happens to be an Ancient Wyrm the Peace/EV tactic doesn't cut the mustard.

I'm going to overhaul my Tmapper and do some testing. The overhaul will include the readjustment of some skills and to design the perfect suit to support the redesigned template. To start I'm thinking about simply adjusting the Bard/Mage template since this is what I've been playing for years and would like to continue using:

120 Music
120 Provoke
120 Peace
120 Disco
110 Magery
100 Cart
100 Lockpicking
100 Med

Now, this is of course a total of 890 points and is impossible to do without the right skill bonuses and the use of Soulstones. I want to see how many bonus points I can get from items and still sport a great suit. I'm new to Imbuing so I know it isn't as easy as packing on max point values on jewelry because there are limits based on the point structure and there becomes very high chances to fail. I also know that there are plenty of people here who have done major Imbuing testing and can offer some guidance!

I think the suit for this template should include:

100 LRC
At least some FC/FCR for better Heal/Cure/EV/Mindblast cast times
High mana regen
Max'd resists

Among this the items that could include supporting skills would be:

Ring - is it viable to put 3 x +15 skills as well as other stats with Imbuing?
Bracelet - same question as ring
If an Elf, Song Woven Mantle for the +10 Music
If an Elf, Spell Woven Britches for the +10 Med
The Life of a Traveling Minstrel Talisman for +5 Music and +5 Provo

I see the potential for 120 skill points just on these items but the use of all these items could in fact make it difficult to hit the other suit requirements.

So with all this said, I've been beating my head against the wall thinking through all of this but without good Imbuing understanding I'm really looking for input from some of my fellow scripters!

Most input is appreciated ;)

General UO Chat / Anyone ever use this program?
« on: August 02, 2010, 11:17:47 AM »
This is the first time I've ever heard of it and I just played with it a little bit. Very cool, especially for those of us that do a lot of spreadsheets (I'm talking about you Cerv!). I'm curious what people think, a lot of potential here!

General UO Chat / Razor users...
« on: July 14, 2010, 05:54:42 AM »
Is it just me or do the new SA skills not show up in the Razor skill list? It's driving me nuts because I can't get an accurate skill total. I've scoured the Razor forums and found nothing mentioning this. I haven't posted there yet because I didn't feel like making an account (I know, I know) or sounding like an idiot LOL.

Anyone else?
