There is nothing like the thrill of a swarm of mongbats headed your way with nothing to defend yourself but your fists and your wits.  lol
Oh and we're running SA right now if that makes a difference

The shard I play on "Allure of the Unknown" has added a new dungeon, the Survival dungeon.  I don't know if any other shards have something like this.  To enter it places everything in your bankbox so you start out completly naked. Initially all weapon and armor has to be looted from lower level mobs. Some do carry pickaxes and val. runics so it is possible to craft high end stuff.  Left handed weapons also drop in there which can be weilded along with a two handed weapon.
So while I'm in here I'm a pure warrior,  I usually run a sampire but i've been stripped of my precious necro spells.  So I need to know what the best way to allocate my stats and what's the best two handed swordsmanship weapon.

Both good suggestions,  they still may be to heavy for me to handle without my pets.
With a stat cap on 300 I have mine divided equally amoung str/int/dex but the more I read and think on it maybe that's not the best way to go since I don't use magery much.  How low should I drop my int if I usually run as a pally sampire?

ALLure of the Unknown, a Runuo shard running right at samurie empire
There's no skill cap so I'm GM in everthing except begging and snooping.  We don't have spellweaving and embueing yet.

Ok, let me explain my problem.  I'm on a freeshard with no skill cap. So I'm GM in everthing but i still can't kill very big things.  One dragon at a time is about my limit and I have to peace it to do so.  I've been hunting on the first level of shame.  Killing off earth ele's and scorpions.  It nets me about 40k gold about an hour.  I was wondering if anyone knew of a better place to hunt such monsters or had tips on how to improve my play style so I can routinely kill bigger things safely.  I'm saving up for powerscrolls.

Thanks for any help

I play on a shard known as Allure of the Unknown.  While it usually doesn't get a lot of votes on some of the sites that track such things it is a very good shard.  No skill cap which I love.  They have the mighty Pharos boss that is a challenge to even large groups of players.  You can loot artifacts with a rarity of 50 from him.  They just added a new dungeon.  The survival dungeon where you have to enter completly naked.  All weapons and armour is looted from low level monsters untill you eventually can face the boss.  Its very fun.

Claw has the gold per hour on it doesn't it?  maybe I'd just be better off not trying to reinvent the wheel on this

Scripting Chat / What I want to do is
« on: September 23, 2010, 11:50:46 AM »
It's been a couple years since I've done any scripting so I'm basicly starting all over.  What I want to do is build a very simple looter that will snag gold and only gold as quick as possible.  I should be able to figure that part out. The complex thing that I have no idea how to do is I want a display of my gold per hour. Any help with this would be amazing.

New member introductions / Hi, Call me Hairybantha
« on: September 21, 2010, 07:28:06 AM »
Hello everyone.
I go by the name Hairybantha.  I've been playing for around ten years off and on.  I first started on OSI atlantic shard as a paladin.  Now I play on a freeshard Allure of the Unknown, which has no skill cap. It works well for me I can explore freely and don't need to switch characters if I come across a good item to steal from a crate or a hued animal I want to tame.  I even got my wife of six years to create her own account.  She rarely plays but still its nice that she tried.
Most of my skills are GM at least, everything except snooping and herding, but I still consider myself a newb.  I typically spend my time hunting earth elementals in shame.  I can take down bigger things if I can peace them, like blood elementals, but I prefer the overkill with low personal risk of death method of play.
AFK macroing in not allowed in towns where I play.  Recently spent some time on the naughty step for running a provoke macro on the outskirts of Haven.  I was just glad my account didn't get deleted outright.  Resource gathering and gold farming are also disallowed AFK so I won't be doing that. Only attended macroing for me.
Ok Guess I'm starting to ramble a bit Just wanted to stop in and say HI
