Please forgive me, I cannot help myself.

I can't express how much laughter and joy it brings me to read a post from an Asian player with less than stellar English.  Only to be responded to by MT and his ultra funny avatar movie.

I been lol-ing for a solid 5 minutes at this.

I read somewhere that OSI servers are giving fishing a bump with the Stygian Abyss expansion.  No details have I found yet, but I'm super excited about em.

Ok,  awesome.  Now it all makes sense.  So I can learn to write scripts, and do so in a far more powerful editor with ScriptUO.  I just have to actually use that POS EasyUO to run the scripts.

What is the deal with EasyUO chosing the grey line of what's acceptable to script, and what's not?  I mean, if memory serves, they simply don't allow gold farming scripts.  Which makes no sense to me.  As I use fishing scripts there I've found that make me millions of gold a week?

Anyway, I certainly appreciate the effort I see put forth here.  I'll be doing my part in learning how to script, and utilizing this leAwesum tool.  Not because I want to author scripts.  I'm not creative enough for that.  I CAN however, offer mature feedback (no I don't mean pr0n feedback) on both the client, and the scripts if I become more knowledgable about how they work.

Hell, I got myself all pumped up about learning how to script now!  I hope I don't make any noob scripters do any QQ ing when I decimate their feeble works! (yeah, if you haven't figured it out by now, I try to be funny in almost everything I say/do).

WOW,

Look at teh Elite luvin up in this bish?!  Thanks for the welcome bigshots.  I think a great source of information is VITAL to getting the most enjoyment from a game.  This definitely appears to be it.

I want to make sure that I understand this site correctly tho.

This site is dedicated to the actual ScriptUO tool, which is a text parser for folks writing scripts?  I guess I'm a little confused, because what I've read so far seems to indicate that the client is in alpha stages, and scripts can not yet be executed from the client?  I guess I'm having trouble understanding how the parser can be effective if you can't execute your scripts?

Please enlighten or point to a post that explains this, as I have probably missed it staying up till 3am when I get up at 6 to go to work. ;)

Wow,

That took like, all of 6 or 7 minutes to get the restriction removed.. WTF took so long?!

Lol, it took me longer to write the intro than it took you to respond.  That is so awesome.

And tell Cerveza that his avatar makes me thirsty. :(

Greetings Forum Community,

Most of my friends call me Theo, and I certainly hope those of you here will do just that.  I've been playing UO on and off (haven't we all?) for around 5 years.  I currently reside on the Great Lakes server.  My favorite toon is a fisherman named Amanob.  He's my cash cow.  I have contracts with folks for all my white pearls, green nets, and white chests.   My second favorite toon is a THunter (bard/magery) named Bomana (Amanob backwards, get it?).  He WAS my cash cow way back in the day when lvl 6 chests were rare, and thus the artifacts that dropped in the chest.  I also have a tamer named Tlamer (I used an advanced character token on this one, and BOY did I regret it).  I have a mule toon named HandyMan whom is a legendary tailor, GM carp & tink.  And working him toward legendary smith.  And finally I have a toon named Theo (my first, believe it or not) whom to be honest, I have NO clue what I was trying to accomplish when I rolled him.  He has 90ish stealth and hiding, fencing, archery, anat, healing.. and other odd skills.

I think it's important to note, I'm a forum whore.  The first thing I do every day when I sit at my computer is NOT load up my games and git ta annoying folks.  The first thing I do is catch up on all the forum communities I belong too.  My multi gaming guild forums, my UO guild forums, a few torrent sites I belong too.  (they are all legit, I SWEAR! *crosses fingers behind back*).  I guess what I'm getting at, is I'm no 13 year old kid who wants to leech free scripts to farm gold, and cares nothing about participating in the actual community.  I'm quite the opposite.

On a personal note.  I'm 35 years old.  I have a wife of 8 years, and 5 kids (2 oldest are from a prior marriage).  YEAH I get to use the computer, cuz I keep those kids in CHECK yo!  I'm a General Manager for Taco Bell.  I've been a GM for 12 years.  (yes, I can get you free burritos for l33t wareZ access) <-- that, srsly, is a joke.  I live in the Great State of Illinois (no, I can't get you free corn) in a little town directly across the river from St. Louis, MO called Alton.  Let's see, what else...  I've played a plethora of online games including EQ, EQ2, SWG, WoW, AoC, WAR, and a few others I'm probably forgetting to mention.  UO has brought me back again, and again.  I can't exactly explain WHY, but I think everyone here might have an idea.

At any rate, I'll do my best to be a productive member of the community.  I'll promise not to start any religion/political wars.  I hate people who do that.  I adore my right to think / believe as I wish, and I think it most important to respect the right of everyone else to do the same.  YES, that even includes if they think differently than I do.  INOE, *boggle*

Don't hesitate to ask questions.  I look forward to getting to know many of you!
