Some work and some need to be modified. It mostly depends on the popularity of the script and if the author or others are available to help maintain it.

As he said. some work, some dont, but its also a good thing to try read the posts and dates to follow along, attempt to modify or correct them. Will honestly say most scripts work with little to no modifications needed, some just a tad here or there..
