General UO Chat / Re: New OSI Animal training discussion
« on: May 18, 2017, 04:30:25 PM »
Thanks Ghost.

So apparently no matter what choose Bushido LAST. Dont make the same mistake I did. As when you choose a skill that adds Bushido you also get the regular Whirl Wind. However if you select one of the skills that gives it, it takes both of your special move slots. Selecting it last allows for you to chose 2 special moves. Heads up for you pet trainers.

Also, Max HPs as it stands now is a waste of a LOT of points. 600 or so HPs gives you enough wiggle room. Once your pet hits 120wrest 120 parry 120 Bushido he because almost un-hittable.

Cheers.

Ya those champs are really good for leveling melee skills, other than that they take an eternity to kill. Unless there is a specific item all the other bosses (for the most part) are faster to kill. Or make some friends you loner :) if your on Chessy hit me up.

UO Reference Information / Re: How do people find the gump

No hes actually talking about ENs character toolbox i missed that the first time around. The login gumps I don't think can be set correctly with any sort of scriptable setup.

Depends on what you are using really, Repond slayer, Vermin slayer are their vulnerabilities. If you have a sampire or a whammy I would suggest investing in one of those as the champs themselves have around 35k hps. I believe spellbooks also are capable of having those properties on them. Or just get a tamer like everyone else :(

Sorry this is late but you should never use contkind in anything that is going to be used for more than a few days. It changes a lot and is impossible to keep up with. You should always open a gump and set the returned id as a variable instead. That way no matter what they change it to you will never have to edit your script to fix it.

Bacon is a requirement when polling. Bacon is a delicious choice that should never be left out. Odly enough its almost always the winner.

Interesting view point on my style of play.

I play on a dead server, at a time that no one is online on my dead server. My work hours and days off will not allow me to have any company. i refuse to go to Atlantic (lagantic), and the asian servers that are busy with people during my play times usually dont use my language. EUO is about the only way I can play using an alt to assist me in encounters that require a lot more people. To me "playing" the game is figuring out ways to beat game mechanics that were designed with 10-20 people in mind. Without EUO I will not be able to dual box with the precision my scripts have allowed.

Simply put I would have to pay a few hundred bucks to transfer all my stuff to a shard that could go dead any day in order to play the game.

TLDR Id like to see you solo Cora.

Just wondering where people are heading now, how many will leave ect.

TBH if EUO goes down that will be the end for me. I wont bother with stealth or relearning other coding languages as this game is decaying at a pretty alarming rate already. My interest in the simplistic way EUO works is what kept me here in the first place. I am not a programmer nor do I wish to be. I enjoy crafting and making things by hand. metalworking, wood ect. I think ill start by posting my projects here for people to see, maybe even learn or get an idea from.

What about you?

Funny after all these years of leeching I finally started to write my own and now its gone :(

Feel like I jinxed us all. Without EUO I will probably cancel my OSI sub asap and move to a server that euo works on. Sucks.
here is waiting to see what the new genre comes up with.

On a side thought, this could be a good thing. Cheffe refused help for years with this project. More than likely it held it back. Unfortunately it may be too little too late as a LOT of people have quit playing this game. Think of all the millions of hours spend looking over scripts and updated ect. One hell of a ride to end.

Edit: Looks like he posted OEUO too just a bit ago.
