Hi all! Take 2, I think I may have deleted my first intro.
Groggychemist here, I'm a dude in my thirties who's played UO on and off for years, and the older I get the more I want to learn!
I'm hoping ScriptUO can help me dive deeper into some things I missed when I was younger while playing the game, and become more efficient at the game.
Thanks all!
~Cheers~

After looking at the examples for introductions a bit more, it looks like I might have to expand a bit.
I started playing UO in the early 2000s under my brother's account and immediately became addicted to the game despite being very young.
My first character was a mage tamer and I was hooked! So much so that my dad actually banned me from playing the game for a year because of my addiction. (One day he caught me up at like 2 am before I was supposed to play baseball the next morning) Oddly enough after that incident he just let me keep playing video games so here I am 20 years later and I still play the game on and off!
I've tried many iterations of the game, and taken breaks here and there, but always kept coming back to UO.
I'm hoping to be able to have access to ScriptUO so I can gain a deeper insight into some of the more interesting parts of the game, as well as make things more efficient so I can use what limited time I have to play better!
Hopefully this is a bit better than my 2 sentence intro.
Thanks guys,
Groggychemist

Annnnd one more edit to give an even better intro
I started playing right before Age of Shadows on my brother's account and made a mage/tamer, I was so bad at the game but I loved magery and taming! My items were mostly crappy gear, but for some reason I had a bag of sending, I was so naive I trusted way to easily because I wanted to get better at the game!
One day I was chatting with someone and they gated me to their 'house' in Fel to help me out, I was terrified of Fel, and terrible at PvP, I said... "I'm not sure, but 'ok'" Needless to say the gate was actually to fire island where I instantly died and got dry looted by the guy while he was laughing. I was devastated, and my brother just called me a wimp. Needless to say it became harder to trust online people after that, but eventually I found my buddy Adam, whom I played with for another 10+ years.
Original Shard was Lake Superior, was there from about 2001 until 2006, left for WoW, came back for High Seas, left again, then started playing on private servers in 2022 after I was burned out.
Been back since then and I'm as hooked as ever.
Thanks,
