Fairly common template, med isn't a large factor in the spawn for a necro as you will be in form the entire time.

True but it depends on what type of spawn. If you're just doing rat after rat you're good... But do a spider or reptile and you may have some issues.

I just don't get 100 points in Ninjitsu... To use animal form? Doesn't seem worth it to me.

I use it on one of my pvp mages for animal form and mirror image when I get dismounted.... The group I play with sadly doesn't have many cross healers so I do what I can to stay alive. Template works pretty well at Yew and other choke points with mirror images blocking.
