Saw this bow, wondering how?

How did they get a regular bow with 50 on it? I have a 45, but that's a Ranger's Shortbow (+5 made with +10 Ash).

This thing is a Regular Bow with 50 SSI on it?!

Is there a way to get 40 without ash, then enhance?

Yeah, I was bank sitting trying to spot what combinations were good on bows, saw that one.

It's not a Dryad, and as far as I can tell it wasn't heartwood. It *could* have been heartwood without the coloring...

There was no crafted by name or color or hint of type of wood on it either.

But am i mistaken?  You can not get a bow naturally with over 30 SSI, meaning not imbued or enhanced ?

Remember the invasion that had to deal with Moonglow and if you killed a general that was an archer, you would get a bow with 50 ssi

I got a repeating crossbow wth 50 SSI from loot on either a level 6 map or from a paragon Serpentine Dragon. I can't be sure which one because I was throwing all the loot that night into a container and it was there when I sorted it out later. Either the Tamer or the T-mapper threw it in there.
I used it to train archery on a couple toons on Lake Superior.
I've never gotten more than 30 SSI when using a runic to craft bows.

It must have been a "monster looted" bow that someone had on them when they died. There's no way anything greater then 30 SSI is a normal loot item from a monster or a chest.

The only way to get over 30 would be a special bow (Dryad) or that invasion loot bow.

Hmmm. This was years ago right after Paragon's came out I was spawning them one after the other trying to pop serpentines... Now I'm wondering if I am remembering right or if I'm just getting senile.

It's senility...  I actually have an invasion loot crossbow with HLD and 50 ssi with damage increase.  I'd never imbue it though.  That'd be inbred.

invasion items from the faction generals would give 40 ssi items.  Before this patch you could not imbut them as they said they were made with special materials.  With this las patch I bet they made them imbuable.  Then u enhance with ash and you have a  sickening bow.

invasion generals (i believe, one of em did though) dropped 50ssi bows.  I saw one imbued so I went searching for all mine.  I have about 6 in total but didn't try to imbue any yet.  No need to enhance either.

Yea the max stats on them are(only got 2 with max) are 30hld/50ssi/55di.  Looks like hld and di will have to be dropped to put balanced or lighitng on.  Just what UO needs more over powered archers.
