At long last I meet the mythical Blaze face to face. The biggest and best score of my UO gaming days hands down. 8)
I actually thought that I would never ever get my hands on blaze after the countless hours I spent in the Glade turning over the Cu Sidhe Spawn.
I used to spend 5-6 hours a day for almost 9 months turning over the spawn until I heard someone on my home shard tamed Blaze. A player who didn't spend near the amount of time myself or other Glade Tamers did turning over the spawn. Then I gave up in disgust and started doing Dreadhorn instead.
I have been farming the Glade Spawn and I just happened to check how many candles it was and out of instinct I ventured into the desert and low and behold I saw a funky looking Cu Sidhe smiling at me. I wasn't even on my tamer either. I had to run log and switch characters.
My hands were trembling with excitement as I was attempting to taming him.
I guess I can't cry about how unlucky I am anymore. :P
Now what to name him....

I know you have spent the most time of anybody on the shard working for it...nice to know that the "right person" finally got one...hard work pays off!!!

I play Siege and only 1 ever spawned it was tamed and the girl was so excited to ran to show it off and when she left east luna to go to her guild house someone jumped her and then saw it wasn't bonded and killed it before anyone could see it. Well except the pics he posted of the event. It was a shame because I doubt another will ever spawn on Siege

Thank guys! It was just dumb luck and being in the right place at the right time.
Massacre my home shard is Sonoma but I tamed this on one of the Asian shards so I'm going to have to transfer him at some point and hand him over to my main character there.
I love Fantastic Four too. Real good movies! I'll see what my girlfriend comes up with before settling on a name. :)

Whatever you do, name it something with three words so you don't lose the spaces!!

I think there is a way to regain the spaces, if you use the 3d version... seems like I remember reading something about that a while back.

If i am not mistaken someone over at Winuo.org had written a script to name pets what ever you wished with spaces and all.

well you can always use the exevent rename or whatever that is to get the 3 space name back...
but on another note, congrads. I really want one but would never pay 500-600 mil or RL cash and i was never able to spawn more than a pure white and a few blacks/reds. Oh well.

Is the best bet to get one to farm up the alter to that level of spawn or just kill the ones in the desert over and over?

I don't believe you can tame the ones from the alter. I think you can only tame the 4 that spawn in the desert.

I'll join in and also say it isn't! Some trammies spawned a white when I was farming Cu' and they asked me to tame it but it wouldn't allow me.
This thread has given me interest in farming Cu again though!

huh, interesting.. I didn't know that.. whats so different about the ones that spawn from the alter? there's gotta be some anti code hidden in there I guess?

Might be. I am wondering if all animals that spawn at a spawn have a tamer resitant cap on them also.

I thought if you lored it out of the champs spawn area you would be able to do it.
Goes and runs to pop the spawn and see what happens

Please report back on your findings i am very curious. In the past before like aos i could tame slimes and other things at spawns.

I have tried the Tokuno spawn and it says you cant tame that when the lesser Hyrus spawn. I dragged it out of the spawn and still nothing but I havent tried the twisted weald yet

It's the same in the Twisted Weald. Luring the Cu Sidhes into the desert or swamp won't make them tameable. :(

What's the best/fastest way to kill through the spawn??? I always wanted to try... I did it for a few hours one week, that's all I could take. Was taming them and attacking wild ones.

well, provo works wonders. Ultima can really plow through them.
If you don't care about your karma, a whammy goes through them with a pixie swatter pretty fast too :o

On the note of pet renaming, there is a wonderful script that can do it for you (I won't post it cuz it's not mine, but if you let me know, I'll send it to you!) or you can use the exevent pet rename but just a note, you need to use "blahblah , #spc , blahblahblahblah , #spc , blahblah" (you can't use normal spaces)

Interesting that the color looks different in UOKR than 2D or UOSA. I finally see the graphics you're so attached to, Ultima, and I guess I understand why you don't want to give up UOKR.

I still re-watch that show, even though it always ends the same. I've started watching Castle, just because Nathan Fillion channels Mal for the main character.

Ultima he gave up really over what? He found out that lord british was dead and gave up or what?

He put all his stuff into storage, and quit for now. He said if he couldnt use UOKR he didnt want to play. He got very fond of UOKR and refuses to play without it, or an equal substitute. He will be missed...both here and ingame, we went on many a hunt together, and he taught me a lot, and introduced me to SUO!

A very few number of people actually liked the KR client. I never did as well as most of the player base. The SA client and the KR client are similar, but they actually added the 2D artwork into the SA client to keep the 2d people happy. Somehow they still made it look ugly. I tried and failed in beta to tell them how ugly it was; I wanted to like the SA client.

I did not want to like the 3D or SA client its still a rose how ever you look at it. But i tried it anyway and when a system is designed around a 2d client and then tried to modify it to a 3d client there is really only so much makeup you can pile on it before the makeup starts to fall off or bulge.
