I never got around to messing with a gargoyle temp and was wondering what kind of damage output a thrower does?

I used to run a discord chiv archer to work champs (mainly rikki) and i'm thinking the thrower would be much better for this considering the weps are way faster if the damage output is reasonable.

I know a few people with discord necro throwers and it's dirty!!!

Champs go down quickly enough on a thrower without needing to use 240 points in music/disco.

I did use disco on my thrower for the new ter mur daemons for the queen's quest though. Actually, provo and disco. Was finishing off the daemons in 9 minutes without needing a ledge or anything to separate me from it.

That sounds like a temp i want to run! Could you give me the temp specs? I'm only at 700 skill points too.

Well, my champ of choice is Rikki and disco REALLY helps a ton.

I'm actually considering making a Disco Thrower but for different reasons: To turn over the Cu Sidhe Spawn.

I've used a Disco Archer before and you can tear through the Cu Sidhes. Right now I just don't have the time due to being back in school but I may dabble a bit here and there as I find more free time.

For working an entire Champion Spawn from start to finish I'm not sure a Disco Thrower is the way to go; I haven't tested it hands on so it could probably work. Generally  a Discord/Weapon choice is geared for tackling one specific monster type rather than large groups however that doesn't have to be the case.

I'm going with something along these lines for my Cu Sidhe Spawn Turn-Over Gargoyle Thrower:

120 Bushido
120 Tactics
120 Throwing
120 Music
120 Discordance
100 Chivalry

For Rikktor or other types perhaps something along these lines:

120 Throwing
120 Music
120 Discord
100 Tactics
100 Healing or Necromancy
100 Anatomy
60 Chivaly (+30 on Jewelry)

I would have to test the upcoming changes to Chivalry and tweak it if needed. I think both those are viable templates and a good start for their intended purposes.

Really, disco doesn't improve my time at killing rikki. Chain Armor ignores Like Noones Business 100% Cold Soul Glaive, He goes down Fast.

Yeah i might have to try that. I've been running templates in my head for something i can complete the whole spawn with as easily as possible.

So far i'm leaning towards this:
necro
ss
magery (heals and evs)
throwing
90 tact
gm anat
have to wait on the chiv changes to see how much ill need
rest in med.

Could use an imbued garg wep with hit area.
Thanks for getting my wheels turning!!

Magery has zero business being on that template.

After the changes go through, it's looking like 80 chiv (minimum) will be the norm. Peeps will go 80 or 120 imo, and I've tested the crap out of it.

My spawning thrower is:
100 Anatomy
70 Chivalry
90 Healing
40 Necromancy
100 Resisting Spells
100 Spirit Speak
100 Tactics
120 Throwing

Do the spawn in wraith form so you leech mana. I use a weapon such as:
Super Slayer
44 Hit Cold Area
50 Stam Leech
30 SSI
35 DI

I prefer a casting template but that looks really good.

I'm looking for a wither bomber type template with secondary throwing to finish it off as quickly as possible.

How much damage would i be giving up if i went with just throwing/tact?
