What's not working out so well for you? Dropping DI?
When they come for me I'll be sitting at my desk
with a gun in my hand wearing a bulletproof vest
My, my, my how the time does fly
when you know you're gonna die by the end of the night

Attack.

All wonky and not working.  :(

Takes a little getting used to probably once you've got it set up correctly.

You can do this in Razor too, maybe you'll have better luck. Have you ever checked out Indika's "Sampire Bible" post at UOGamers? Some really good stuff there and he talks about the macros a little as well -

What Tehmt Said, but you combine it with toggle Primary

Primary
Select Nearest Hostile
Attack Selected Target

And just mash that over and over again

I use LAME it does all this for me while I drink my soda and look around the net a little.

Lifesaver you are!  That explained perfectly on how to set up a hotkey in Razor that will FOR SURE target the CLOSEST mob.  Thanks man, you are my new best friend!  :)
