[young] Players and Tameing, Anyone know?

Anyone ever get a young status player up to the point with jewels and stuff to be able to tame a GD?  When you "Anger the beast" will it not attack still?  Just wondering.

I suppose I could check this with bakes cause they get angry when you try to tame.  Would be funny to talk around destard taming anything you wanted.

I guess that might work as long as you keep your total skill below 350.  I think it's 350 anyhow; I know you loose your "young" status after a certain level.  So you should probably lock your focus and meditation almost immediately.  Anything else that's passively acquired.

Interesting thought.

Well here is what I have so far....

1. Enter a dungeon and you get a pop up saying monsters will attack you.
2. The two dragons that spawn near chaos shrine in ish did NOT attack me.
3. Upon trying to tame said dragon, I got the anger message and they did attack.

So, taming them is the problem.

The Ridgeback camp in the savage town, I was perfectly safe walking around there, not even paras attacked me.

Heres some ideas tho.

I dont think drakes get the anger message, might be good for the zoo.

Make a script to tame polar bears on ice isle with enough magery  jewels and items to gate, could make a script for youngs to run with skills locked, tame 5, gate turn in and return back, repeat.  Im thinking would be easy pickins and easy loot from the zoo.

Im gonna think of some other things to do with youngs.  Mining would be one of the best,no chance of death, mega ingots, to sell or turn in.  Im sure there is other things youngs would be good at.  Give me a few days and I will post my findings.

Yep, it seems training skills like taming in dangerous areas is perfect for younghood.  Just run a script to lock it at like 79.9, would make it easy to get to at least 80 taming.

And the taming of polar bears to turn in to the zoo seems to  be a good one too.  No danger of death, but you would need the magery to cast gate.  Taming drakes would work too I think, but harder since they dont spawn in the open world except in ish I think, maybe fire isle.  I think the best option to have taming turn ins would be polar bears or drakes, run a script that checks followers, when its set to say 4 or 5, it casts gate to zoo and turns them in and recalls back.

Does this seem like an idea?  Seems like a good afk script to get things from the zoo.

Using Gate Scrolls would cut the magery requirement down.

What are the tames you can turn in? Got a list? (I can't get stratics)

Cerveza,

How hard would it be to make a script to tame wolves or polar bear or even slimes (guessing the type wont matter if you put it in the script), that will recall to one rune, tame until 5 controlls and gate them all back and do the turn in and recall back in.  Seems similar to a mining recall script, only with taming and instead of secure, using the donation box.

God I need to figure out how scripts work, in EQ I was a scripting fool with macroquest.  Similar, but different.

Well, if your Elite, you'd have one already :)

So it's definitely possible

I hate it when Elite people teases us 'almost Elite' people!  (We are as close to be Elite as Horseshoes and Hand Grenades)!

This post intriques me as one of my goals is to find an awesome Greater Dragon.  Physical resist over 85% and hit points over 950.  I spend a couple of hours everyday going to all of the spots and 'Animal Loring' the GD's to find that one Greater Dragon that has THOSE AWESOME Stats.  So before I tame the Greater Dragon I need to know if it is worth taming and then use honor to tame it.   The randomizer for stats on Greater Dragons makes it so hard to find even a decnt Greater these days!!!

Anyone have any hints or tips on locating AWESOME STATS -- are they better in certain areas?
