Anyone know of good FREE teamspeak or ventrillo servers?

Looking for something my son and I can use while gaming, so we don't have to yell from room to room.

I *could* host it and do it that way, but having it setup already would be nice.

Winuo.org has one that is hosted 24/7 that I never see anybody in whenever I have logged into it.

I used to run a Roger Wilco server for years for my gaming friends.  That was kinda fun.  Also had a team speak server for a while.

My trammie guild uses teamspeak while my fel guild uses ventrillo.  I used to use roger wilco back when there were good combat flight sims on the market...unfortunatly not many of those exist anymore

I still like teamspeak better just for the server tools.  But ventrillo sounds a bunch better.  So for the users perspective, I'd try and find a vent server.

it's OFFTOPIC ... but there is still old F16 Falcon .... even with it's age .. a great sim !

I played F16 Falcon, it was definitally great, but I am a bit of a graphics whore and I love good graphics and can't play games like that without them...

I think the last SIM games that I really liked were back with F-22 Raptor and F-22 Lightning.  Also most of the Jane's combat stuff was really good but unfortunatly that was big before the real advent of multiplayer gaming hit the scene.

Now for voice gaming stuff... Game Commander 2 is awesome.

I played with it years ago and it worked very well. I had macros set up so I could say "FireBall Last Target" or "Greater Heal Self". It would make it so that you could play UO with some type of disability.

I actually did something like that for these guys playing BattleField 2. I mapped the command rose to keyboard controls, thus allowing them to be mapped to voice command. A group of disabled players were extremely grateful.

I haven't played with that in ages... wonder if it's still around.

I have a vent server I pay for an rarely use.  Just when my friends need a quiet break from our guild or if we're solo pvping on atlantic.

You're more than welcome to it.  I can make you usernames and admin status so you can setup your own private channel etc.
