So which way? Keep the item, send it back? Does the amount of the item play a part? How about it's usefulness? What about teaching a child?

Contact, period, no exceptions - ESPECIALLY when kids are learning from my actions. If nothing becomes of the contact then at least I did the right thing. I have to put my own head on my pillow at night and, frankly, I'm still digging out from past bad karma ;)

Anytime I think "I got away with ... " I've crossed the line.

I guess it depends on what it is... if I bought a Dvd Player and it came with a Free HDMI cable.... I don't feel like I need to go out of my way to call Customer Service.... 


Another Example... My little Brother 2 years ago Pre-Ordered Guitar Hero 3 Guitar and game Only... the day comes to pick up his Game and Guitar Kit.... He hands the Lady his Pre-order and Prepaid Ticket he printed up from Best Buy.  the lady goes in the back pulls out a Guitar Hero Full Band Kit, hands him his new game and he walks out the front door... should he have turned around and said this order is wrong?  Probably, But you know what.. F them, best buy has screwed over so many customers its about time someone stuck it to the Man.
