Decent enough write-up. I actually use a combination of AnyDVD and DVDShrink myself and can vouch for those. I've never run into anything I couldn't do and the capabilities of DVD Shrink alone make it the number one tool in my ripping arsenal even though it isn't regularly updated.

For CD ripping I go for Exact Audio Copy coupled with LAME and MP3 Tag Tools for managing ID3 tags.

How about media format conversion? What are folks using for, say, converting DivX to DVD or .AVI to .MPEG, etc?

I'm a Big fan of keeping the video compression at 100% so I use DL disks... therefore I don't Shrink My dvd's at all..  I was a big fan of ImgBurn, but I have had a lot of burning problems since they don't support any CSS Encryption, I've been using DVD Fab.. Even though I Prefer the ISO format I've been using the file folder format as of Late.. I'll have to check out this new tool I haven't heard of yet... HandBreak.. sounds interesting.. I'll give it a twirl see how it works for me...
