Well you only mention tailor but I've been doing the same thing with Smith, although I've been taking it slow.
The biggest issue with bribery is that it's impacted by the number of people using it and/or the number of times it's used. Therefore you will have less reason to Bribe on Atlantic, for example, or in Luna on any shard, etc.
Another thing is that the lower the color the more likely it will get bribed up a color vs normal to exceptional or 10 -> 15 -> 20.
A couple of given's for me, all smalls so far -
1) All exceptional iron, non-weapon, can be cheaply bribed to PoF - 10/15 bribe twice to Shadow and 20 bribe once to DC
2) 10/15 exceptional DC cheaply bribe to PoF (shadow)
3) 10/15 normal gold bribe to 10/15 normal Agapite for PoF
4) 20 Normal Bronze to Gold for PoF
5) Sometimes, depending on price, I will bribe up lower color normal to PoF - i.e. 20 normal copper with 2 bribes = PoF
I've been playing around with other colors and hammers but, again, pretty much only focusing on smalls.
