If you have a ring or brace with 5 mods can you increase the mods.  Say like 5 dci, can u increase it to like 13?  I know you can't remove mods.

Yep you can increase them up until the limit of either the individual property or the total for all the properties.
You can actually remove self repair if you want by imbuing something else onto the item but I don't ever recall seeing self repair on jewelry.

Yep just like cgeorgemo said, you can increase up to the cap of the individual mod or the cap of the Jewel itself.

If the ring has I think its 3-4 skill mods you CAN change them to others in their catagory.

For example I wanted to check if you could put 5 skill mods on an item, I think it only went to 4, maybe 5, but it was hard to do because when I would pick a skill it would show its replacing a different skill it already had.  Skills are grouped.  I got it to 4 for sure on an exceptional ring.   I think I was able to get music, discord, magery, swords and tactics or chiv.

Some skills seem to replace each other...

i tried to make a +13 music and +13 magery ring.. nothing else on it ... failed they would replace each other so would be either a +13 music or +13magery not both... drove me bonkers for a bit then i gave up.

I hear thiers a few others like that as well.  Is it a Bug a feature who knows.

Personally i think its discimination against music playing magicians...  maybe one of the UO staff had nightmares after a bad childhood birthday party.

I imbued a bracelet or ring I forget which now with both of those.....does that happen with crafted rings and bracelets or just the vendor bought ones?
I made one with magery music and peacemaking for my bard in training......now I'm wondering if I'm remembering correctly.
But then again the order you out them on might have some effect on it or if you put something on between those as well....

Wilk showed me the list of skills that replace each other.  so if you had five mods and wanted to switch a skill out with another you can.  the imbuing menu will tell you what it is replacing if you switch a skill.  I will see if there is a place that is hosted or if he has a chart or something to better explain it.

I was also under the understanding that you could imbue /change an item 10 times only.

Yep there is a counter built into the system. It will tell you on the screen that displays the results you will have if you are successful.

You can go over 10.

The 10 is for how many times imbued to get a skill up.  I have changed things on weapons many times and got one weapon that has been imbued over 50 times due to replacing which kinda slayer it is lol

I do a lot of imbueing for my friends/guildmates and I have seen a few wierd success % depending on which mod I imbue last.   I made a brac with 15 in 4 resist and 100 luck, I started to put the 100 luck mod on the item and it was 500 imbue weight, my success % at my home soul forge was 0.0% at 120 imbue.  I went to the queens forge and I was still like 4.5% and the queens forge is 7.5% bonus.

The only thing I can think of here is that the math is actually calculating up to -7.5% chance at your house so that you can get up to 0% at the queens soulforge.  So your chance was actually -3% at your house and 4.5% at the queens soulforge.

Thats a little bit bogus isnt it.. i mean i might want a Magery, music, sword ring

I wonder what would happen if i found a looted ring with MAgery music and sword could i increase each of thos intensities or would it totallty get borked.

You can't find em like that EN. It's like saying, "what if I found a sword with lightning/fireball/magic arrow" on it.
