General UO Chat / Stormy Seas Past -- Now on to fair sailing...!
« on: May 21, 2012, 11:08:22 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I am back from a brief vacation from UO.  I have not played since early October of last year.  I logged in to find out there have been a lot of changes, which is good.  Learning them all and discovering what there is will be fun and not so boring.  City Banners, New Dungeons, New Storylines and Arcs, Citizens protesting and rioting in the streets, Void Pools, New Artifacts, Gardening System, ...and On and On.  WOW!  Looks like I have some studying and testing to do.  Feels good to come back to the game and discover a lot of new things.  I miss all of my friends here and want to jump back into all the discussions of ways to make play much more enjoyable and fun.  Still want to stay away from tedious tasks such as Mining and Lumberjacking.

Went for my first City Banner and it took close to three hours and that was a little tedious, but I will have to tell you the reward was worth it, as I have a cool looking City Banner in my house...!

Shout out to all of my friends and fellow scripters...!  It is good to be home!

General UO Chat / Great Information for Fishermen!
« on: April 10, 2011, 10:40:20 PM »
Since the High Seas Booster, there has been a renewed interest in fishing.  There is finally a reason to actualy fish.  Once you get past 105 to 120, there are quite a few fish that can be mounted to make great looking Fish Trophies.  I found this chart on Stratics that helps a lot in finding where the Legendary/Rare fish are and what you need to catch them:

Big Fish Locator:

Hope this helps fellow Fishermen to get more out of their profession and make a little extra pocket gold for their efforts!

General UO Chat / Fishing Power Scrolls...!?
« on: March 24, 2011, 02:45:39 PM »
I am torturing myself by trying to do at least one hour of Fish Monger Quests per day that I play.  If any of you also have donr quests, you know tht it is thee most boring and tedious thing that EA has in the game (so far) .  The goal is to ultimately get to 120-Legendary, but my only luck has been getting 105's and 110's. I have bound scrolls to finally get to 115.  If I have to bind them to get to 120, I think I much rather shoot myself.  Do any of you know any tricks, helps, hints, or tips on how to get a 120 or even how to get a 115?  I have only heard sparse stories of some people getting a 115 or 120.

Any help for all of our sakes would be greatly appreciated!

General UO Chat / New Britannian Ship
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:11:26 PM »
The New Britannian Ship was just announced today, being released in the next publish.  The ship will have 2 more cannons. Holds 28,000 stones. Can put a forge, soulforge, loom, spinning wheel...and I think a parrot on it.

To get one you will need to contribute to the Fisherman in the Brit Library, 10 Million Points worth of goods.  Fish Steaks are .25 points, Whole Fish are 1 Point, Fishing Poles 2 points, and Crabs / Lobsters are 10 points each.  (Thanks C2 you helped make it a little easier for us)  :)

At 200 per hour... It would take you just short of exactly 7 months of 24/7 Crabbing/Lobstering to get enough points. (Math done by MeWonUO)

So, we need to fine tune the donaters to donate crabs to the Fisherman at the Brit Library. Actually, that might be a bad idea as they will be out looking for Scripters at the Library now.  Just deed them up once or twice a week and donate them!

I heard also, that there will be a limited number of Britannian Boats for Sale on UO Game Codes (but, who wants to spend more real money on an item you can earn).

Scripting Languages / PHP Programming Request / Project
« on: December 21, 2010, 04:51:39 PM »
I have a website that is in dire need to be Auto-Populated.  One of my major suppliers has a service called "Web Services", that is a way for anyone to access specific data from my Suppliers' systems. The developer will retrieve the data, and based on my requirements, manipulate the data into my system. Also can:

■Get all the Products information
■Submit Orders
■Use Supplier's  Streaming Video Service

I am looking for someone to hire to help me integrate WebServices into my ZenCart WebSite and Shopping Cart.  The Shopping Cart is written in open source PHP.  If anyone is interested I can supply more information, as well as specific information.

THANKS!

General UO Chat / Favorite Script...
« on: December 21, 2010, 01:38:46 PM »
I was just thinking the other day, what is my favorite Script?  Not necessarily one that I use all the time, but one that takes a totally horrible task and make it easy and "doable".  My vote goes to 'Kal In Ex's "SOS Master".  The Map is aweome.  It actually tracks your ship's location and updates it, just like UOAM and UOC do.  The menu also is very impressive.  Without this script, it would take literally hours to fish up all of the SOS Messages and navigate all over the Sosarian Waters.

Thank you Kal In Ex!

Scripting Chat / Finding Script
« on: November 05, 2010, 12:19:55 PM »
I am looking for a Script that will look into Vender Backpacks and find a specific item by its name or part of the name.  Then I want to buy that item.  I looked at RKUltraOrganizer but it wont allow me to just put a name in.

Currently, when you login there is a chance that one of the pumpkins in the pumpkin fields will have your characters' name on it and also a small chance that the pumpkin will spawn as a Jack O' Lantern (Evil or Happy).  On Pacific, we have people that are gathering all the Jack O' Lanterns (JOLs) in the Pumpkin Fields and putting them on Venders in backpacks with the first letter of that character's name.  If you are logged in for over 2 minutes (and within the first hour you are logged in, you have a chance to have your JOL spawn).  Some JOLs will spawn with just the Toon Name and others may spawn with their fame and/or Guild.  Some may spawn with their Skill.  In other words, they may spawn with what you have set in the Titles menu. We are all working together to help people who want their JOLs to have them stored in this fashion, so they can just buy them for "FREE" on the Venders.

i.e.  "The Great Cortez, Legendary Mage's Jack O' Lantern"  I would want to search for Cortez

Item Types: awab_ovab_nvab_rvab_

Since I rather not search thru every Venders' backpack and individually look at each and every JOL, I would just like to type my name into the Looter Script and have the Script tell me if my JOL is in the backpack.  Sometimes there are over 25-30 JOLs in each backpack for every letter in the alphabet and to search each venders backpack would take a considerable amount of time.  Plus, I want to search the Venders more than once a day to find all of my character's JOLs.  (I have over 30 I would like to find).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Also, hopefully I made some people aware of something cool that is currently going on in the game.

General UO Chat / Orc Ship - Potential Gold Maker!
« on: October 22, 2010, 04:09:24 PM »
The Orc Ship is highly sought after!  It holds the most in Cargo and it does 150% Cannon Damage over the Gargoyle and Tokuno Ships.  Therefore it is perfect for use in Pirate PvP and doing more Pirate Bounty Quests.

The only way to get an Orc Ship is to do a Professional Bounty Hunter Quest and accumulate 8 pieces of the Orc Ship to make an Orc Ship Deed.

Upon accepting the quest, a Pirate Bindin' Rope will be placed in your backpack and a Pirate Bindin' Pole will be placed on your boat. You need to search the seas for the pirates and the pirate ships. Your ship's pilot or NPCs around the Sea Market might tip you off about the pirates' location with Pirate locations.  Note that pirates are mostly found around Jhelom.

Once you've found a pirate ship, you need to damage it enough in order to board it or cast summon spells on it. If you kill the pirate, a death certificate will be placed in your backpack with the pirates name on it. However, you'll also receive a special reward if you can capture the pirate alive. When the pirate's Hit Points is less than 10%, the Pirate Bindin' Rope can be used on her/him which will chain the pirate on the Pirate Bindin' Pole.

The gold listed on the bulletin board and a special reward from Bigglesby if captured alive: One of the 8 parts of  Ruined Ship Plans that can be combined to obtain a Deed for an Orc Ship OR One of the special Cannonballs: Light Flame Cannonball, Heavy Flame Cannonball, Large Flame Cannonball, Light Frost Cannonball, Heavy Frost Cannonball, or a Large Frost Cannonball.

The first orc ship sold on Pacific for 50 Million Gold and I have heard on other shards like Atlantic they are selling for 20 Million Gold Pieces each...!
