Script Debug / Re: Trick or treat starter
« on: October 21, 2020, 03:29:07 PM »
Thanks, Baldielocks...

In preparation, I am going to make a 16 bank rune book and a 16 trash book, a total of 2 Runebooks then...

I am assuming the rare is the Burning Scarecrow and Skulls?

Are there 16 places to mark for a Trash Can?

Character skill advancement / Re: BS Archery Trainer - Dual Client

Allured Ice Ogres are best for any weapons training with 100% poison weapons. Golems die now.. or did when I last played. But..I trained all my archers down at the bottom of some dungeon in T2A that had a Tentacle plant in a pool. Naked, a fast bow and a dozen or so quivers in the pack. Works very well.

The Dungeon is called Khaldun. If you use that monster, then you need to stand in a place that it doesn't attack you but you can reach it.

C2 has an old Trick or  Treater that used a Herald and you could sit in one place in your house and Trick or Treat over and over. EA nixed that method and gave the guy no candy or anything in the following years.   Look at C2's script and see how he dealt with the teleports etc. I loved his candy drop-off system.

Submit your Script / Re: Valen2.0 Ninjitsu trainer

Awesome!

This still works. The other Ninjitsu Trainers use a Mount and they changed it so now your Mount takes damage when you use it for training.  This works like a charm. Gained .2 right after I started it.

Endless Nights' Script Library / Re: ENs - House Resource Gatherer
« on: September 18, 2020, 08:19:52 AM »
EN,

I should be able to run the House Gathering Scrpt today or tommorow.  I ran it for a little bit today, but had a problem with the script not allowing the character to go up stairs? I have a castle that has 1 staircase on the first floor and 2 staircases on 2 going to 3 and on level 3 going to the roof.  I am trying a different method of putting 2 house teleporters on every floor (one for up from the floor below the other up to the next level -- the roof will have one returning to the first floor porch area.). I have placed one in the west corner and the other in the east corner, so that hopefully my toon will be able to walk the full square/rectangle.  This method is not a cheap method. Is it the best? and only method that will work?

I am assuming that I do not need to run the petal picker any more by itself, if I am using this script?

How far is the reach for the toon to look in containers, etc. 9? I have not worked with making rails before, so I may struggle setting the script up.

Welcome!

I am excited to learn that there is another Miner here joining the boring ritual for digging up things.  There are so many new Mining things to get now: Crystalline Blackrock is very useful and saltpeter is used to make cannon poder charges...

Pirating is my favorite. High Seas Battles with Orc Ships and Captains blowing them away with the canons on your ship.  THay made it easier to load and fire the cannons, but if you solo the orc ship it would be nice to have a cannon firing script (sometimes).

There is a sweet spot where you can stop your ship and shoot at the Pirates on the Beacon and not take any damage before blowing the beacon away....that reminds me I will do a write up with images and that may help fellow Pirate Hunters.

Scripting Chat / Re: Gardening Script or Snippet(s)
« on: September 14, 2020, 11:41:32 AM »
That Script sounds like something that I could use.  Does it look in every container and pull them out into another secure (or beetle). I am confused how it works as boards can get rather heavy to gather, etc.

Is this available in the script snippet section?  How hard would it be to add gardening to it?

Scripting Chat / Gardening Script or Snippet(s)

--I thought this was already here somewhere for the Life of me cannot find it, even if searching:

I am looking for something similar to EN's Trinsic Petal Picker, but will also do Tress (especially Apple), Grapes from Grapevines, Orange petals from Orange Pampas Grass (?), etc...

Essentially a Gardening Script.  Years ago, I had a Garddening Script but it just functioned for the old way of gardening.  Collecting the resources, the seeds, any seeds of renewal etc. but you also had to water your plants and use potions on them. What a PAIN...!

WELCOME!

Gimlet,

I applaud the effort and extra work you apply to replying to the welcome intros.  Clever to use the large bold text and add coloring to it.
(Hey, at least he somewhat replies to the people's welcome intros).   ???  ;)

It's great to have you a Member of ScriptUO.

Thank you for your service to America.  I understand your story, as I have lived part of it, except the Armed Forces part.

I worked for Blizzard and worked my first title "LexiCross" and the WarCraft. I was one of the devolers for WoW, and felt obligated to keep playing it after I left the Company (went to work for Disney). I pretty much play UO 99% of the time as I feel the sanbox game of UO is much better than WoW.

I left Blizzard after many long long years soon after the release of StarCraft 2. Weird thing is when I left, the reason for leaving is that i did not want to spend 8 hours plus in front of a computer. Pfffft, what do I do now with UO -- you guessed it: I spend 8-10 hours in front of the computer.

With Blizzard, I was getting paid to be there in front of a computer...with UO I am paying them. That does not make sense!!!

Gaderian,

Thanks for the great write-up and tips.  I have printed out the post and I am going to test some of those out....

I really appreciate the time that it took to write all those things down...!
